The BEST Aloha Of All Time!
Created: 10/08/06
"Finally - the ELVIS Aloha From Hawaii special the way that it was meant to be seen. I remember seeing this show when it was first broadcast in America on April 4th, 1973 and enjoyed it very much. I have seen it several times since then over the past 33 years. Now, I get to relive the Aloha '73 special in this ultimate edition. This 2-disc set represents ELVIS at his finest performance during the 70's, like never before. It contains both the rehearsal show and the actual satellite telecast, both with remarkable picture and sound clarity. In addition, the bonus footage is also an extra-added treat as well. Especially noteworthy is the Post-Concert "Insert" Songs Session, which features ELVIS and his group performing 5 additional numbers after the audience had vacated the arena. Incidentally; 4 of these 5 selections were included into the original American telecast of the special. And, the 20-page book that accompanies this set is also a great addition, as well. Altogether, this 2-disc DVD special edition of Aloha From Hawaii is the definitive version of this landmark in entertainment history!"

The world watched him in 1973 - now it's your turn!

This is a milestone in music history. The first worldwide televised live concert! Elvis Presley at his very best.
This concert is magic. Weather you saw it live in 1973 (I didn't, I was only two years old) or became an Elvis fans later, this is certainly the DVD to own. Elvis performs his greatest hits in a new way. There are also many new songs here. Seeing him on stage, in his American Eagle suit, performeing one of the best live performances he ever made is simply magic.
Buy this DVD, you will not be disappointed.

Elvis - Aloha From Hawaii (2004, DVD)

I'm a huge Elvis fan, and when I seen that this DVD was full screen I jumped at the chance to get it. I would love to get more of Elvis's Movies, but I hate the Letterboxed format and of course the Widescreen format also. What makes me mad is that if you buy the movie on VHS it is not Letterboxed nor is it Widescreen, so why can't they make the DVD's the same way. I also can't stand the arrogrance of certain Hollywood people that insist that was the way the movie was intended to be seen, of course all this is good if everybody has a media room the size of a house like the Hollywood types have. (I.E.) Ron Howard. I will buy every Elvis movie I can if it is full screen. I loved the DVD set, and sang along with the music, and because I'm a huge Elvis fan is the reason that I bought the set.

This was an awesome DVD set. The sound quality is excellent. as well as the picture quality. Disc 1 has two complete shows on it that are both great. The first is a practice show for the second show which was the live broadcast that millions of us watched in January 1973. both with full audience's. Disc 2 has outake's and also the N.B.C. edited show that they re-aired in April of that same year. Over Four hours of material. Elvis at the top of his game. Thanks
