ENDLESS OCEAN a mixed bag, but beaufiful game.

    Created: 22/07/09
If you love dolphins, whales and other sea life, you should enjoy this game. If you want adventure, well-designed humans, battles, and puzzle-solving, this will put you to sleep.
I recommend it for relaxing and learning about sea life. The music can get monotonous, but the soundtrack of Celtic Women-type songs by Haley Westenra is beautiful - to a point. You may find yourself using the generic soundtrack for your repeated underwater explorations.
You will search for photo opportunities involving certain fish, check sea life migration paths, search for artifacts and - mostly - enjoy exploring an expansive underwater world.
The short-duration human dialogue moments are cheesy and a little tiresome, but you can always leave your host and move forward to the bow and greet and pet seals, birds, penguins and other wildlife, including polar bears. These show up randomly.
We play lots of RPG and puzzle games, but this one is simply relaxing. There is something just cool about latching onto a whale or dolphin and taking a ride through their world. But ya gotta really love sealife (and learning all about them) to make this a worthwhile purchase without getting disappointed there are no giant sharks to battle.
    Enjoy!

    A Journey Under the Sea

    Created: 08/03/08
Endless Ocean is an a diving simulation game for Wii created by Arika, a Japan gaming studio. You will start the game by selecting the location of the diving area. The control is very easy to learn, basically you just need to point to the direction where you want to go (very simple isn't it).

It's very relaxing, you can play it on your own pace. And there's no way that you can lose in the game. All the sea creatures will not be able to harm you. Thus no need to worry about sharks/whales/sting ray when you see them. In fact, later in the game you can capture the pictures of anything in the game.

Akira did a very good job in graphics. Underworld graphics are great. First time you see the whale in the game, you can feel the 'WOW' factor. It's just that cool.

In summary, if you are looking for a slow-pace, relaxing game then you should get this game. However, if you are looking for an action-adventure game, you will be dissapointed.

    Scuba Simulation at it's Best

    Created: 03/03/08
What a fascinating game this is....I've been playing for a few hours now ...just swimming around exploring..and I have to say this is a lot of fun!!! I have already gotten a dolphin friend that I can train to do tricks and that will accompany me on dives. This is not your typical game. There are no ways to die...which I for one love..and it's very relaxing.

Get this game for your kids..very informative and easy to play. Adults..this game relaxes you like none other...my only complaint is the music...even though you can play tour own music while in the game...it will only play one song that you pick..over.and over.and over and over and over.

The graphics are great..the sea life really springs from the TV with vivid colors. This is a great game..if you've been interested in this game enough to read my review then I think you should get this game..and getting the bundle that I got for the seller made it even more of a bargain.

This game gets the BUY/RENT ranking from me...definitely worth playing and enough fun to own so you can play over and over again..

    Experience the Ocean!

    Created: 30/12/09
I bought the game for my 10 year old daughter who prefers non-violent and non-competitive games. She also intends to become a marine biologist. She loves the exploratory nature of the game, swimming and identifying the sea creatures. The graphics are wonderful and the pace is slow and delightful. It is like having an aquarium at home! My husband enjoys it too.
You read the screen for instructions and information. Either we haven't found the alternate sound, or there is no spoken commentary in this game.
Overall a wonderful experience, quite different from any other gaming experience.

One of the best Wii experiences!

    Created: 10/01/10
I bought Endless Ocean for my 28 year old son for Christmas and he hasn't stopped playing it. This is a very relaxing and fun underwater experience which does appear to contain endless adventure. In my younger days I was a diver and I must say I am amazed at how realistic Endless Ocean actually is, from the realistic underwater graphics to the sounds of a real live diving experience. It makes you feel as though you are actually diving and I love the night diving scenes. It has simple controls and easy to navigate and the music is absolutely beautiful! This isn't an action game so you might be disappointed if that is what you are in to. If you are looking for a safe and fun way to explore the bottom of the ocean and learn about the underwater world without ever getting wet then Endless Ocean will probably go beyond your expectations.
