A Players Perspective of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Created: 03/12/07
This is a team based game where you assume one of several classes of warriors that must complete 3 to 4 tasks per map while on offense or keep them from being completed if you are on defense. One team is GDF (Earth) the other team is Strogg (Alien). Each side has different weapons, some similar, some not.
>>>
I give this a rating of Good based on several criteria.
First is playability = Excellent
2nd is graphics = Excellent
3rd is sound = Good
4th is maps = Good
5th is map variation = Below average
6th is online play = Average
>>>
The 5th and 6th are how a player might experience the game after several hours of playing online and realize that there are only 12 to 15 maps and that the other players are not always interested in anything except getting as much of an experience boost as possible based on the "character role" they are playing. This advances them in rank, so it is mainly ego. I know this is subjective and I want to be fair. Some online games were excellent, many were not = this is mainly due to the teams being unbalanced. Some games had excellent communication between team members and some had zero. Since this is a www experience it may be a language thing ~ I do not know.
>>>
In the future, I hope the maps are expanded to more than the 12 or 15 that are currently in the game. I also look forward to seeing some "mods" being done that will exploit the cooler features and toys that are in the game.
>>>
All-in-all it is a fun game to play, but you will need a very good PC and Direct X10 is a bonus. The different classes make the game interesting, but it is not a must have title at this time.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (PC Games, 2007)
Created: 20/07/10
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (ET:QW) is a first-person shooter video game, and is the follow-up to Quake 4. It is also the first game in the series rated T by the ESRB (With the descriptors of Mild Language and Violence. Mild Blood is featured but only on the PC version). It is set in the same science fiction universe as Quake II and Quake 4, with a minimal back-story serving as a prequel to Quake II. It is the second multiplayer-focused game in the Quake series (after Quake III Arena). Quake Wars features similar gameplay to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, but with the addition of controllable vehicles and aircraft as well as multiple AI deployables,[11] asymmetric teams, much larger maps and the option of computer-controlled bots. Unlike the previous Enemy Territory games, Quake Wars is a commercial release rather than a free download.
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was developed by Splash Damage for Windows using a modified version of id Software's id Tech 4 engine with MegaTexture rendering technology. It was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 27, 2008.[12] On March 18, 2008, Aspyr Media released the title for Mac OS X.[5]

Strogg INVASION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Created: 01/04/10
Id continues to bring their classic and innovative first person shooter once again. This time (fade-in music of Bernard Herrmann's version of Cape Fear) it's ENEMY TERRITORY: QUAKE WARS!!!! This game has all the traditional trappings brought up-to-date in this team-based game. The most important aspect of this game is team-work and tactics. Each and every character has important components to win a successful campaign. The on-line multiplayer version will pit you up against the top players in the Enemy Territory world were tactics and team-work, again, are essential.
Be sure to update all drivers and patches, and reset your computer BEFORE you play. This will insure smooth game playing. The best results for on-line game play is if you have your LAN (RJ-45 CAT 6E cable) connected directly to your computer as opposed to playing through a wi-fi connection. Use a USB keyboard and USB mouse connection for precise control. I wouldn't set the graphics to maximum unless your drives are minimum 7200 RPM's-32MB Cache (as a recommendation - install 2 hard drives and format them to RAID) , the maximum of RAM, and high-end graphics card. Otherwise, the minimum requirements will do fine.
Have fun and let the war begin!!!!

Enemy Territory : Quake Wars (MAC Games)
Created: 01/10/08
I've been a Quake/Doom fan for many years and have play these games on a Windows PC Platform. Is my first experience playing games in the MAC environment and is fantastic !!! The graphics and sound quality are impressive. Overall game stability is incredible.
The game is little too complicated for my taste. I always play solo missions and never been expose to a collaborative and/or team role play to win each mission.
I think I have to practice more before daring to play it over the internet .
Not too much documentation came along with the game to explain in detail how to play and win.

PC gaming at it's best

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in an online strategic shooter. Players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either...blah blah blah. Read the review below for an honest opinion.
The gameplay is simply amazing. Not only do the features and graphics impress anyone who likes FPS but it also forces players to work in a team element as opposed to being a side of "Rambos". ETQW has features commonly used in games like Battlefield and other war games, but allows users the opportunity to put everyone on the same playing field and have to earn their way through completion of objectives rather than purely based on frags. The array of vehicles and the originality of some of these vehicles like the anti-gravity suit which becomes more or less a battlefield trampoline of sorts makes for a very interesting match of accuracy and speed. The only thing that I would have a complaint about is the lack of accuracy on most weapons. It does take some time to get your shooting down to the point where you are averaging more kills than deaths but that is all part of the earning your keep portion of a game like ETQW. The bottom line is, if you like modern FPS games and want to enjoy your time playing a great multiplayer with thousands of other people, this is the game you have been searching for.
