This thing is unbelievable! I bought this to replace an OKI 321 that was just plain worn out. Honestly I've never had an Epson before but knew someone that did and they claimed they were junk compared to Epson's of before. But, what the heck. WOW! I'm so happy with this thing!! It's fast as lightning and would run circles around that old Okidata!!! This thing is just plain awesome!!
Easy setup and away you go!! Nothing like trying to get that old OKI working in Windows XP. That was a headache and 1/2!! This Epson FX-890 was about as simple as it gets adding it to my PC!! Way to go Epson!!

There is not much that can be said about a dot matrix impact printer.
They are the old reliable front liners...... They are simple to use and a breeze to configurein any network. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget who has a use for these printers.

Epson FX-890, Better than Oki

The Epson FX-890 was bought to replace the Oki Data serial printer that we were using. It's ink ribbon lasts much longer and is a lot quieter than the Oki Data that it replaced. It plugs and plays right in place of the old serial printer. I couldn't find a modern reasonable replacement for these old applications until finding this one.
