More or less product meets or exceeds my expectations
Created: 02/08/09
I like the speed at which it does quality black text printing. I love the fact that it prints color pictures from photoshop with no need for adjustments. In short the printer and my Apple version of Photoshop get along better than any other match up that I've had. I am very unhappy about needing to keep my Brother all in one connected to my 2 system computer because Epson hasn't caught up with either Windows Vista let alone Windows 7 which I am running on my Intel Mac mini. I am looking forward to Epson's catching up with Microsoft's newest O.S.

Not a bad printer Lot of features but a bit noisy
Created: 30/04/10
I replaced the HP 950 all in one which I hate it all the way. I wanted an all in one printer that was also WiFi capable. This printer fit the bill. Other nice advertised features included two sided printing.
The Good:
Generally I am happy with the printer. I was presently surprised to find that Epson packages everything you need to install. This includes cables and extra high capacity ink tanks. The network connection is flexible and can be connected either wireless or by Ethernet. I chose to use the usb. The print quality is very good although I have not attempted any pictures. There are lots of nice and useful features including the memory card slots.
The not so good:
There is a considerable delay between issuing the print command and the printer responding. The printer is also very noisy. The two sided printing is semi-manual. It prints every other page of a multi-page document and then requires reloading the paper to print the second side.
The ugly:
The ink tanks come either as high capacity and extra high capacity. The extra high capacity ink tanks are only sold directly through Epson. This eliminates and price competition for the larger ink tank. You pay list price.

Excellent Printer

Relatively easy setup, quality great, wireless works, you would not think it's refurbished. Have used it multiple times, prints fast at even high quality, and gives great quality even on plain paper. Will recommend this printer to any household/small business

rated best in consumer reports

I bought this product because it was rated #1 among InkJet printers in Consumer Reports. It lives up to the rating. It has a sleek design, was simple to install, and I have it wireless so I can print from my PC or my laptop. The pictures print fast and in high quality. I also like that the color ink cartridges are seprated to reduce waste.

Nothing but problems
Created: 21/03/11
I really loved this product for about a week. Then I started having problems with the black ink not printing. I did everything I could think of to do, cleaned the nozzles via the clean nozzle function on the printer maintenance menu, alignment, etc. ...to no avail. So I went online in search of an answer and found that many, many people had the same problem. They offerred alot of suggestions on how to resolve this problem. Unfortunately, I as many others could not fix the problem. The black will not print and now the magenta will not print either. I am done with this printer as many others who suffer the same problem. I will go and buy new after research...I am leaning toward the kodak wireless, but again...I will research a little better before I buy. I would not reccomend this printer unless you like solving problems. Setup was a bit tricky also, took a lot of time to find the "right" settings. I went online which somewhat helped but in the end I had to go thru alot of settings to get it to be recognized on my network. When you buy used, someone else's setting are already there and unfortunately the online video and instructions do not go about telling you how to delete the old settings and put in new. A challenge to set-up, black ink not printing issues and you will get no support from epson. Emailed them and they will not respond! So if you are lucky and can get it setup and then don't have any ink problems it is a nice wireless printer. Printed exactly one page that was beautiful before black went out! Goode luck if you buy this machine.
