    Eragon PS2 Game

    Created: 06/07/08
I bought this game because I loved the movie it is based on. It is a straight- forward story line that pretty well matches the movie including the main voice characters. It has a built-in tutorial that teaches you the moves just before you need them and provides prompts to keep you moving along.
The game tells the story of a farmboy who finds a glowing blue rock that turns out to be a dragon's egg. It hatches, they bond, and the dragon grows up. The boy, Eragon,is now the last dragonrider. All of the other dragonriders have been killed by an evil king and his pet sorceror and now they are searching for him. The hunters come to Eragon's village and kill most of the people including the boy's uncle. Eragon and his new friend Brohm fight their way free and begin traveling to join the last group of rebels. As they travel Brohm trains Eragon and his dragon in the ways of the dragonrider, learning to fight and use magic. By the time they reach the rebels they have learned all they need to know to fight the final battle.
I enjoyed the game. It was easy enough to be relaxing and fun and enough of a challenge to keep you interested. The only thing I didn't like about the game ( and that may be because I never got very good at it )was the flying part. Controlling the dragon while casting spells, spotting enemies, dodging attacks and catching erratic doves freaked me out. I was happier swordfighting and casting spells at the monsters while solving the puzzle of moving through the game. Some parents might not like the graphic fight scenes but I believe kids 14 and up have seen a lot worse. In all I liked the game and would recommend it to players who enjoy fantasy.

Fun for ages 8-15! They Love It!

    Created: 03/12/06
There has been a lot of Poor Reviews for this game but maybe it's older teens/adults that are writing the reviews, either way my newphew and niece loved the game and they are 8 and 10. After the passed the game they were telling everyone about it. They told me that the mission was for Eragon to protect a dragon egg and to become the dragon rider. Eragon was to protect the dragon egg from a shadow named Dar'ek. My newphew and niece both said that the funnest part was flying Dragon Saphira. He as well enjoyed the graphics and the fact that he got to choose what level he wanted to play after you passed the game. He said it was a great adventure. My nephew finished this game in two days. I asked my nephew what he disliked about it and he said that there was only three levels where he got to fly Saphira and there were some blue eggs that you have to collect and he couldn't find a way to get to them. My nephew said he would play it again. I believe that this game would be fun for kids ages 8-15. I do recommend this game. The best place to purchase this game is on eBay.

    Eragon PS2 Game

I like that you can use magic to fight. The only draw back is that none of the spells that you can use protect you from enemy attacks.I got the game because I loved the movie and thought that it would be a cool game. I also like the fact that you can ride on the dragon and fly. it does need better ability to control the dragon however.Otherwise it's a really neat game and you can escape from reality a bit after a hard day in the world of people.

    Eragon- Playstation 2

This game is great for all ages to me. I bought it for my best friend on Christmas and ever since then, we've been playing that game every time I went to his house because it's off the hook. It doesn't have any type of blood or gore in it so that's what makes this game suitable for all ages. The only thing I didn't like about the game itself was those stupid eggs that you find which are secret eggs you need for bonus things but the bonus thing SUCKED!!!! except for the secret mission. Secret mission is actually cool because it's like testing your game play skills with the characters in the game. This game is a must have for the years of 2006 - 2007. I recommend it to all ages.

    Another Bad Movie Game!!!

    Created: 03/11/06
    Pros
+ Movie cast does voice overs.
+ You get to fly a dragon.

    Cons
    - Controls & Graphics are lackluster.
    - Another official movie game poorly done.
    - Playing this would keep you from doing something that may actually be fun.

    Comments
Too many other games have worked with this formula and got it right for you to have to play 'Eragon'. Try 'LOTR', 'Panzer Dragoon', or 'Drakengard' instead.

    Verdict
    Stay Away. Period!!!
