A must-have for every serious musician
Created: 14/07/06
In over 330 pages, Lindsey Harnsberger documents the definitions of nearly every musical term from basics like the bass clef to complex dynamics like tempestoso, cantabile, lentamente, and vigoroso. For the beginning musician, the book also briefly documents the lives of famous composers including Ludwig Van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Sergei Vassilievich Rachmaninov, and Antonio Vivaldi. The book also includes theory basics such as intervals, scales, notes, rests, key signatures, and so on.

Great dictionary!

I love how it has all details of the music world and things that are forgotten by musicians squeezed into this pocket size dictionary. It's great to have a around. I bought this because I am a band student, and I tend to forget some of the music terminology my teacher uses.
