Eureka SmartVac 4870MZ Upright Cleaner

Eureka Boss SmartVac 4870MZ....I checked various reviews on line for a few hours + the Eureka model just below "this" one had very high recommendations and seemed to fit my needs..even against the "BIG GUNS..eg DYSON..OREK..etc..I opted for the higher end model because I could purhased it for only $99.00 + shipping !!!I just couldn't justify spending the extra $$ for a machine that really wasn't superior !(money "was not" an issue when purchasing a vaccume..I just didn't feel spending $1600.00 or more + not really gaining that much in quality + features was worth it.) A person that had done a review before I bought the 4870MZ did just what "I" had done...he went with the higher end model because could get it for same price as lower end style.I feel this vac has GREAT suction power..even as the bag fills..(yes it has a bag + it's easy to change).The attachments + hose for corners,ceilings,etc..are easy to use + are all contained on unit with easy assembly..very friendly.The vac itself "is not" self propelled..though it's easy to manuver..(an elderly person may feel it is heavy to push around or carry upstairs..although I haven't compared it the other vacuum cleaners..they may be fairly heavy too!).I have 7 cats + it does a super job picking up hair + litter with ease.I had been a "HOOVER" man for many years + was elated to find such quality for so little money in the market today..I "was" nervous changing brands! Solid construction + durability will surely bring years of good service.In my opinion,(after double checking your needs)....save your money + get an item like this EUREKA 4870MZ...I don't think you can do better for less than $200.00 ! I love the way it pulls itself!The price on E-bay is great! It does a great job of cleaning and takes a little time to put it together but well worth it! The bags hold a lot of dust and dirt and with all the parts you can clean just about everywhere! This machine really gets the job done!

I bought my first Eureka 4870 SmartVac a long time ago because it was rated very highly and had a reasonable price. I gradually purchased more until I had 3 - 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs, and 1 at our camper. This purchase is to replace the original vacuum which still vacuums wonderfully but has a few switch and brake problems.
I have to say that this is the best one yet. It is quieter and it handles easier than earlier ones. AND,it still does a top notch job of picking up dog hair and switching from carpet to hard floor.

I purchased the Eureka Smart Vac 4870MZ Upright Cleaner after reviewing how the vacuum performed. I really like the cleaning ability of the vacuum. It is a little heavy, but I can handle that. The one thing I don't like about the vacuum is the handle release. It is very stiff and hard to release. Comparing to my old vacuum, I would rate this vacuum with four stars.

Great product and great price. Bought because of excellent reviews from other buyers. It is much quiter than our previous vacuum.
