Album Notes
Eve 6: Max Collins (vocals, bass); Jon Siebels (guitar, background vocals); Tony Fagenson (drums).Additional personnel: Don Gilmore (background vocals).Recorded at Sound City, Van Nuys, California, Chomsky Ranch, Hollywood, California, and Stepping Stone, Seattle, Washington.Personnel: Max Collins (vocals, bass guitar); Jonathan Siebels (guitar, background vocals); Tony Fagenson (snare drum); Don Gilmore (background vocals).Audio Mixer: Don Gilmore.Recording information: Chomsky Ranch, Hollywood, CA; Sound City, Van Nuys, CA; Stepping Stone, Seattle, WA.Illustrator: Jonathan Rosen.Photographer: Dan Winters. On their self-titled debut, Eve 6's straight-ahead rock sound has elements of alternative, punk and pop. First signed to RCA records while they were still in high school, band members Max Collins (vocals and bass), Jon Siebels (guitars) and Tony Fagenson (drums) have honed their craft into a strong debut, laced with a lyrical maturity not usually found in such a young act. "Inside Out," the first single, is about wanting people to understand you. The infectious chorus of "Leech" is a head-nodding tale of an emotional parasite. Other standouts are "Showerhead" and "Open Road Song," which has a similar sound and structure to early Green Day. Produced by Don Gilmore, the album has a fluid, consistent sound, though none of the songs sound the same.

A Promising Start To Greatness For Eve 6

Created: 10/10/05
The first half of this CD is amazing, and represents their 2 later CD's. If you are a big fan of Eve 6, then you definitely need this CD. Seriously. But if you have just been introduced to Eve 6 and are only familiar with "Here's To The Night" and the 'Horrorscope' CD or the 'It's All In Your Head' CD, then I advise against getting this CD. The second half of the CD sounds very similar, like you can't tell when one song ends and another, different one begins.

Eve 6 ( cd 1998)

this is a great 90's rock, and at times a little popish cd. i have loved this band for a while and i recently heard them again so last week i decided to pick up the cd. its great. i would reccomend it for fans of alternative rock. it is a little more intense than matchbox 20, but not as heavy as green day. sounds like earlier green day mixed with matchbox 20 sorta. its good, thats what matters
