Evel Knievel: Last of the Gladiators (DVD, 2005)

I saw the VHS version about 20 years ago, rented from the convenience store in our little town of 1500, in Alberta. I wanted to buy a copy back then but couldn't find one and have looded ever since in used tape places etc., with no luck. Here we are with a DVD available, about a man that overcame so many obstacles in his life and put Butte on the world map at the same time. This story is not just about a showman, but is the expression of the outlook on life that he has.

I would recommend this documentary to anyone. It is not just a man jumping a motorcycle over cars. It's more than that. You see "Evel" with his intresting outlook on life and challenges he faced. He puts 100% into the documentary and the many beautiful motorcycle jumps in the film. He truely lived the American dream and was on top of the world. I have watched this movie over and over thoughout the years I have had it (VHS Version). He truely is the last of the Gladiators.
