The Expendables (DVD, 2010)

Sometimes movies live up to their hype. Sometimes they don't. And occasionally, they don't even come close. Most notable feature about the "Expendables" was the intentual lack of lighting. Perhaps it could be someone's attempt to make an action movie "artsy", but action scene lose most of their punch if it is too dark to see the action. Even daytime, indoor scenes were shot mostly in dimly lit bars. It makes a viewer wonder, "What it is that they are trying to keep us from seeing"? If you want to actually "see" an action movie, this is definitely NOT the one.

Great action mixed with comedy! Fab one liners and A list stars! Great movie! Would've liked more Rourke, but Roberts, Stallone, Lundgren, Li and others were wonderful!

I'm a chick that loves action movies (Bruce Willis is my favorite), and this movie was packed with one action seen after another. It was a little gorey for my taste, but this is a Stallone movie, not a Willis movie (keep that in mind when asking your girlfriend to watch it!) I thought the small plot lines were just enough to wrap around all the violence and not loose anyone in the process.

and sound plus some neat extras. I recommend this.

I bought the expendables and i originally bought it for my boyfriend...the action movie is amazing...the guns and special effects are amazing...and even though i am not really a stallone fan the cast worked so well together that it was just an unbelievably good movie
