    F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault and Recon) is a first-person close-quarters combat game for the PC. The story begins when a paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, and the government responds by sending in Special Forces. The group loses contact with the government when an eerie signal interrupts radio communications--and when that interference subsides moments later, the team has been destroyed. That's where you come in. As part of a classified strike team created to deal with threats no one else can handle, your mission is simple: eliminate the intruders at any cost, determine the origin of the signal, and contain the potential crisis before it gets out of control.


    F.E.A.R. Gold combines the Director’s Edition with the expansion pack F.E.A.R. Extraction Point. The game features combat-adaptable A.I. and multiplayer support for up to 16 players.

    FEAR is basically a more action-packed version of the Ring, similar kinds of psychological scares and terrors, combined with the cinematic first-person presentation perfected by the Half-Life and System Shock games. It packs the intense kinetic destruction and slick slo-mo action moments that are normally the trademarks of John Woo films. And yeah, it's pretty much as good as you'd expect from that description. I love this game, it's an insane thrill ride that will probably scare the wits out of you on multiple occasions. The ending is crazy, probably one of the most memorable and possibly the most memorable game endings ever. If you're into horror games, intense action games, games that will challenge you, or games with memorable stories, look no further than this game. You won't be disappointed.

    If you want a first person shooter that allows extreme control of firepower and the fight itself this is your game.
    This game is basically a movie that you are in. You will be SCARED! John Woo type game with hints of The RING. Again you will be SCARED!
    A hard one to beat for excitement, graphics, realism and storyline.

    F.E.A.R. will scare the _ _ _ _ out of you!!!

    Awesome first person shooter. My favorite FPS series ahead of even Half-life. A truly scary experience. Buy this if you are looking for a great single-player. There are unfortunately better options on the market for multi-player, which is my only negative.

    these games are cutting edge state of the art edge of your seat action. very addictive i played this game non stop. multi-player is insane. worth every penny.
