Movie synopsis

The ordeal of superheroic, singularly dedicated FBI agent Sean Archer (John Travolta) is only beginning after finally capturing his archnemesis, Castor Troy (Nicholas Cage), an elusive, maniacal terrorist who claimed the life of Archer's son. While Troy languishes in a coma, Archer surgically "borrows" Troy's face in an attempt to gather evidence about Troy's last bomb--which is currently ticking away in a Los Angeles office building. Trouble ensues when Troy wakes up faceless, borrows Archer's visage, and makes a mess of Archer's life; all the while, both men struggle to adapt to their new identities while struggling to blow each other away. Another balletically filmed, thematically complex action-smorgasbord from Hong Kong-vet John Woo. Academy Award Nomination: Best Sound Effects Editing.

Magnificent !

Created: 20/10/07
Do you love Nicholas Cage & John Travolta? What a duo they make ! The story is incredible! Who thinks up this stuff? Makes me truly believe these are medical possibilities ! Removing a face & giving it to someone else... Very imaginative.

Story is about an agent that loses his sons life to a terrorist trying to kill him. They finally have a show down & the terrorist (Cage) is believed dead. Only to actually be in a coma. Cage has set a bomb in motion to explode in a major building in California. Travolta has only a few days to get the location from Cages brother & disarm the bomb. To achieve this he becomes Cage with Cages face & enters a maximum security prison. Just as he gets his info, Cage wakes from the coma & becomes Travolta. Every thing takes on a new twist ! ! !

I loved it! Watch it over & over. You will love it too!

Face Off Review

Created: 08/08/07
I bought the movie Face Off because it is one of the best movies ever made. Especially since two big named actors, John Travolta & Nicholas Cage, go at each other through the whole movie. The one thing that may have been bad about the movie is it length. It is over 2 hours long but it is such a great movie that you cant even tell that it is. I decided to buy it on eBay because it is cheaper to get it on here than it is going to any other store and buying it.

i like the movie because it shows how both john travola and nicolas cage can change there roles and make a movie good. i love the way john travolta used his hand over the face of his loved ones he cared for and taking in the little boy that lost both parents. i like the movie when i had it on vhs and wanted it on dvd.
