Fallen (DVD, 1998)

One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie is a tense and compelling supernatural thriller that is written by Nicholas Kazan and directed by Gregory Hoblit.This movie reminds me that evil often seems to be on the attack in the lives of those who are tenacious in their pursuit of justice and truth. Hobbes's willpower and his ethical stamina are further tested in relationships with his brother, his partner, and his superior.

Fallen provides an eerie occasion to ponder the clash between good and evil. It vividly reveals that we can run from demons but not hide from them. In the end, we have to take a stand against evil.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's chock full of surprises, suspense, and a good dose of evil, the perfect thriller!

Denzel Washington is wonderful as always. This was my first time to see John Goodman in a non-comedic role and he was splendid! I'll never see 'Dan' the same again. :o)

The only downfall with viewing this movie, if it even is one, is I find that song to be forever associated with this movie. I hear a snippet anytime, anywhere *zoom* my brain starts playing this film, lol!

This movie is an excellent whodunit that keeps you guessing, right up until the end. Denzel Washington does a superior job as the main character, a police detective with a long-standing relationship with a death row inmate. He soon learns there is more than meets the eye to the case, with an ending to the movie that you won't see coming. A must-see!

I really enjoyed this movie! Denzel is one of my favorite actors because of movies like this one. It starts off with a man being executed in the gas chamber for committing murders....then enters a copycat killer...or is it something else? The movie is about Denzel's discovery of a demon that can only survive if it inhabits a body -- human or animal. This fallen angel only shows his face in the faces of others and speaks through them to Denzel as it taunts him with "copycat" murders and threats. Fear of what you can't see is the scariest thing about this film. Mostly suspenseful with lots of twists and turns....you must see it!

The title would give the impression that this movie is a dark demon like movie but not so. There is a few scary parts but thats about it. The story line in my opinion is a good one. The movie leaves you quessing on whats going to happen next. The ending has a great twist to it. Denzel Washington is outstanding in this movie. By far one of his better movies. If you like a good thriller with a unpredictable twist this is the movie for you.
