Broken Steel is an Add-on Must
Created: 14/05/09
Okay, you saved the wasteland. And you probably died trying. So what happens next? There has to still be some of John Henry Edens' goons out there somewhere... And does the damn thing even end up working? Answers to this and much, much more is yours to behold in the Broken Steel DLC.
GRAPHICS: 10/10
Unlike the other DLCs, I found ABSOLUTELY no graphics glitches while playing Broken Steel. It boasted the same impeccable detail of the main game, with nicely done added cinematics. In my opinion, the explosions seemed a lot more realistic as well (and bigger...).
CONTROLS: 9/10
Same as the main game, the controls are very easy to use. As with Fallout 3, however, there is still the matter of the jerky reticle. The ultra-sensitive x-axis can be a pain at times, but is easily adjusted in the game options menu.
CAMPAIGN MODE: 10/10
Wow. Thats pretty much all there is to say. Oh, and the extra weapons, armor, and perks should probably be mentioned. I won't completely ruin it, but some of the new stuff includes a giant plasma cannon, a flame-proof power armor, and a perk that allows you to get a new dog if Dogmeat dies. Plus, the level cap is raised from 20 to 30... =)
OVERALL: 9.9/10
Set aside the VERY minor drawback in the controls, this DLC is perfection. It delivered all that Bethesda said it would... plus some. I must say that Fallout 3 + Broken Steel = Perfection.
