Movie synopsis

This fourth entry in THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise reunites the original stars: Michelle Rodriguez, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and of course the bad dude himself, Vin Diesel. Needless to say, there's going to be a lot of speed and demolition, especially in the fantastic opening truck hijack executed at amazing speeds by Dominic (Diesel) and his sexy partner in crime, Letty (Rodriguez). When Letty gets killed, it's revenge time, with the path of the bad guy leading Dominic back across the border to Los Angeles (where he's still wanted by the law) and into a high-stakes street race in which he's teamed up with his old nemesis, undercover fed Brian O'Conner (Walker). As in the original, Brewster makes a foxy love interest for Walker (she's Dom's kid sister), but there's not much time for kissing: there's races to be won, huge accidents to cause, and shady smuggling plots to foil. Fans of the series should be too busy digging the NO2-powered action to notice if there's anything missing in the storyline, which caterwauls along with gleeful abandon and disregard for logic, sanity, and speed limits. Directed with a sure hand by Justin Lin (TOKYO DRIFT), FAST & FURIOUS features loads of hot babes, and Diesel is as ripped, raging, and gravel-voiced deadpan as ever.

Movie trailer and editorial reviews

"Lin infuses the necessary full-throttle bits with a dynamic lyricism, choreographing the chaos like a whipped-up jazz-fusion set -- trusting absolutely in the hypnotic power and beauty of strength and movement."
Los Angeles Times - Betsy Sharkey (04/03/2009)

"[T]he original gang is reunited in L.A. for a victory lap....Sturdily directed by TOKYO DRIFT's Justin Lin....Here, stick shifts do the talking..." -- Grade: B+
Entertainment Weekly - Lisa Schwarzbaum (04/10/2009)

"[T]his new film should re-ignite the franchise....FAST & FURIOUS starts off with an action sequence worthy of James Bond's signature openings."
Box Office - Kirk Honeycutt (04/02/2009)

"It does an excellent job of filling us in on what has been happening since the original. Plus it sticks to what the series does best, mixing souped-up cars with corny jokes."

The most dramatic entry in the franch!

Created: 07/08/09
Fast & Furious reunites the stars of the original movie in a sequel directed by The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift's Justin Lin. The story finds FBI agent Brian O'Conner tracking down a drug dealer whose operation involves the use of street racers to ship his narcotics across the border from Mexico into the US.
A murder that's tied to Brian's ongoing case reunites him with his fugitive ex-pal Dom Toretto as well as his ex-flame and Dom's sister Mia, both of whom still harbor anger and pain over his betrayal as an undercover cop at the end of the first film. Brian and Dom must set aside their past differences if they're to take down their mutual enemy. Ultimately, both men are out for revenge, and it's a quest that will take them back behind the wheels of some of the hottest cars around.
Fast & Furious is the most dramatic entry in the franchise. The fact that this sequel is set almost a decade after the first film and reunites its two main stars, lends Fast & Furious a bit more maturity than the series has been known for. The actors are older and seasoned, which makes the bitterness between Brian and Dom that much more interesting and dynamic.

What id this movie about? Well, you probably already know, fast cars, street racing, illegal stuff, living in the fast lane.

If you are reading this review then I'm guessing you already know what this movie series is about considering this is the 4th installment.

Paul Walker & Vin diesel are back! (they were the main characters in the first installment) Paul's character (Brian) is now an FBI agent who is currently on a case to bring down a heroin importer. While Vin's character (Dominic) who has a long police record as it is, is on the run from the law with his long time girlfriend Letty (played by Michelle Rodriguez). He decides it is getting too dangerous for her & leaves her behind to keep her safe & out of prison. Shortly after his departure; she is murdered.

When he gets a call from his sister Mia (played by Jordana Brewster) she tells him of Letty's murder. He goes back home to find & kill her murderer reguardless of the law chasing him.

Brian's & Dominic's paths cross once again when they realize they have common emnies & team up to bring'em down.

This movie was great, everything a fan of this movie series could expect maybe more! Fast cars, cool stunts, good storyline with great actors/actresses to bring the story to life.

I give this movie at 9/10 just because I liked Letty & wish she didn't have to die. Everything else was great!!

*~*~ Fast & Furious 4: WOW, not what we expected ~*~*

Created: 03/08/09
We here are ALL big fans of the last three Fast & Furious movies, but 4 just didnt make the cut. This just came out on July 28th, and we happened to "rent" it, good thing. The prices for it are extremely low right now($8.00 to buy it) so we figured we would just buy it, but happened to rent it and we're glad we did! We hate to have all three and not the fourth, but it just wasnt that great.

It starts out kinds slow, then has some GREAT semi/highway robbery action(just like F&F 1&2) and then its all drama from there. The cars? There really isnt any. The action and street racing? Well, there are about 5 cars in the movie and NO street racing. The whole storyline has changed. Fast & Furious 4 is more less of an Action/Drama this time around.

There was something in the very beginning that we really didnt expect, and that kinda took away from the movie right from the start.
It was interesting but not very entertaining throughout. The end was very good at the last 20 seconds. We wouldnt watch it again anytime soon.

I never thought that I would give an AVERAGE RATING on a Fast & Furious movie, but that is all 4 has to offer.

FASTEST FURIOUS EVER!!!!!!!!

Created: 18/09/09
This Fast and Furious movie was excellent. It rated among one of my all time favorites its plot action came at you quick and even had a few surprise twists here and there to keep things interesting. But as usual Vin Diesel and Paul Walker brought it all home in this titanic fast paced thriller.

Fast & Furious

May just be the best in the series, although outdoing 2 fast 2 furious might be a little difficult this one definitely comes close. Finally, getting all the original cast back automatically gives this movie an edge over its counterparts. Not to mention that the original pretty much made each of the actors' careers anyway. And non of them has had a decent role since. With the exception of perhaps Jordana Brewster who could have been more of the movie since you just can't see enough of her. She probably could have done the whole film by herself. All in all though, an excellent premise to get the series back on track. I anticipate a sequel sometime in the next two years or so.
