Album Notes
Rascal Flatts: Joe Don Rooney (vocals, electric guitar); Jay (vocals, bass guitar); Gary (vocals).Additional personnel: Jerry McPherson, Tom Bukovac (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Jonathan Yudkin (banjo, mandolin, fiddle); Tim Akers (accordion, keyboards, synthesizer); Steve Nathan, Gordon Mote (piano, Hammond b-3 organ); Lonnie Wilson (drums). If anyone in the 21st century still thinks that country music is all HEE HAW hillbilly tunes, one listen to Rascal Flatts's FEELS LIKE TODAY proves that nothing could be further from the truth. More Backstreet Boys than Buck Owens, Rascal Flatts are in may ways the musical embodiment of the true New South; these boys may acknowledge their place in a rural history, but they're just as likely to be watching basketball as rodeo riding. Throughout, lead singer Gary Levox shows off his finely honed contemporary-R&B-esque vocal chops, giving even Usher a run for his money. The production style is suitably bright and punchy, with every twanging Telecaster lick, cracking snare, and sparkling cymbal crash perfectly in place. The group is at its best on the power ballads ("The Day Before You," "Bless the Broken Road"), when the music's Nashville heart, urban sheen, and Levox's yearning vocals mesh in just the right quantities to please an unusually wide cross-section of listeners.

Simply perfect!

Created: 23/03/06
This cd, "Feels Like Today" is just simply perfect. I love just about every single song on this album because it's classic Rascal Flatts sound. Their harmony on these tracks is incredible. The lyrics of these songs are filled with love and compassion, and really touch the heart. Radio stations played "God Bless The Broken Road" the most, but others on this album are just as good. "Where You Are," "Fast Cars And Freedom" are some of my personal favorites. This cd stayed on play wherever I was...and I'm still not tired of it. It truly is one of those cds where you enjoy the whole project -- not just 1 or 2 songs.

If you've never heard Rascal Flatts or already a fan, I recommend buying this album. You won't be disappointed! I hope this helps you.

TERRIBLE EVEN FOR POP COUNTRY

THE ONE AND ONLY BRIGHT SPOT IS FAST CARS AND FREEDOM, THE REST OF THE ALBUM IS A JOKE. THE LEAD SINGER GARY LAVOIX NEEDS TO BE CHECKED TO SEE IF HE IS MALE, I JUST DO NOT LIKE HIM, FEMALE SINGERS SING WITH A BETTER TONE, MORE VOLUME AND MORE DEPTH. I LIKE FEMALE SINGERS, BUT WHEN YOU COMPARE SOME TO RASCALL FLATTS THEY SOUND LIKE FEMALES. TERRIBLE ALBUM, IF IT WAS NOT MY GOAL TO OWN AS MANY CD'S AS POSSIBLE NO MATTER WHO, I WOULD BE LISTING MY 1 TIME PLAYED COPY ON EBAY. TWO THUMBS WAAAAAYYYYYYY DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted the song SaraBeth (SKIN)
and it was on this CD.
I enjoy all Rascal Flatts songs on this and other CD's.
They are very country and always sound excellent in any song that they sing.
Rascal Flatts are oneof the best groups on the circuit today.
I look forward to them winning country music awards every year on country music awards shows. and as always they are one of thebest groups.
