HOME RUN!!!

Okay, first off: I am one of those older dudes who grew up on that classic Fender blackface tone, but I really enjoy today's "modeling" amps. I own a Line 6 and a couple of Roland Cubes, but I usually end up liking the Fender presets anyway, and the solid state power amps just can't cut it when playing live. Enter the Super Champ: Fender tone PLUS some fun models PLUS some decent effects (both the preamp models ad the effects are footswitchable--very cool!) PLUS a tube power amp that can actually handle a basement jam or small club. I'm sure I could get more 'oomph' from my Little Champy by replacing the tubes--Fender is legendary for putting weak tubes in their new amps and biasing them on the low side in order to minimize returns. Ditto the speaker, but I'm pretty happy with it the way it is.
UPDATE: After owning this rig for about a month, I did in fact replace the stock speaker with an Eminence Legend. WOW, what a difference! The amp is now about twice as loud as it was before, and this is with the stock tubes!! Definitely a take-out amp now, but one niggle: The new speaker really highlights the "compressed" sound of the high-gain presets. I'm not a metal guy, and you're
probably not either if you're reading about a Fender amp, but there are other rigs out there that do the distorto thing better.

Pound for Pound the best amp you will ever own.

This is my 4th valve (tube) amp. I have a vox, a Fender Deluxe Reverb and Blues Deluxe. All are wonderful amps. I also have owned many solid state amps and bass amps. This is p4p the best amp I could ask for. For $300 new you get an amp that sounds rich and full like a tube amp should, but also offers a variety of gorgeous sounds. It does an amazing clean, with stunning distortions that put vox and marshall to shame. It's only 15 watts but it's incredibly loud. I've connected mine to external cabinets to see it come even more alive. It takes pedals well, but it's not a necessity. The verb is great, but you can only have one effect going at a time. It has many beautiful models from tweed to blackface, vox, marshall, acoustic (love this one) but sounds gorgeous without them. It does not come with a foot switch but that can be purchased seperately. Many people change to Groove Tubes Gold, and Rajun Cajun speakers, but I personally have no need. I'm not a purist and feel whatever works; works. This is a versital, beautiful amp that will allow you to get your tone without getting violating local decibel regulations.

Great little amp, probably one of the best 'bang for buck' amps you can get. Nice warm tube tone compared to my solid state. They get louder than you would suspect. Sometimes a little break up in the low end. I got two of them to use in stereo, sounds amazing for home practice, recording or a small gig.

Killer tube amp with legendary Fender quality and sound through and through
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Been playing 30 plus years and this amp is just the cat's pajamas. Extremely well made in the Fender tradition, very versatile sonically, a million awesome vintage tones. Eq's are very musical and aggressive, stock output is very nice through either the factory speaker or a 4x12. Never been happier with an amp. For those of you who want a very portable though capable amp ready for small gigs and all tube tone plus DSP effects, this is absolutely your amp.

Amp fried in 10 minutes of playing.
| No, I would not recommend this product.

Played for about 10 minutes and it burned out on me. Tubes/fuse were fine. Board just fried.. Wasn't as loud as I expected it to be. It sounded good for the 10 minutes, sounded quite versatile but is it reliable? From my experience no. Won't buy again, I wasn't blow away by the tone when it did work either. There are better 15watt tube amps out there.
