A very interesting read

This book goes into detail on Feng Shui. It is not only a step by step guide to the practice, it gives some interesting history about feng shui. I am enjoying this book very much.

This was the first Feng Shui book I ever read. I especially love the areas of the book where you find out what element you are. I was figuring out my personal element along with the elements of the other members of my family. I also liked learning about birth numbers and lucky numbers. A friend and I each drew the maps of our homes (as suggested) and began applying some of the ideas in the book and had big, positive changes occur in our lives! I am a believer in the process!

Don't let the first parts of the book scare you off. When I saw all the information about matching up birthstars, monthstars, lucky stars and numbers with elements and colors I was overwhelmed. So, I put the book down and didn't pick it up again for weeks. Now, I'm glad I gave it a second chance. It really isn't as confusing as quantum physics after all. Plus, you don't really have to know what Star you are in order for it to work.
I found the section that gives you insight to the mental states that go along with some of the issues --i.e.- clutter, very insightful.
There are plenty of great, simple drawings to explain exactly what he is saying. By the time you have read half the book, you will have a working undertstanding of what it's all about. You should definitely have a feeling of being empowered to recognise potential energy problems and what to do to correct them.
Because he uses 'Western' terminology, and words and phrases we are familiar with, it reads very well and goes quickly. Good book for anyone wanting to have a working understanding of what looks (to most people) like a very 'Woo Woo' science. Options, options, options! He gives you plenty of options for solving almost any problem. It easy to go back and find the charts and color references when you want to work with colors or elements. Very well done.

I had borrowed this book from the library and really enjoyed it. It was easy to read and follow. I did alot of the suggestions and the house was now a home. Alot of what I read made sence and created a nice flow. When I saw it for sale I decided to own it. I can now change more around my home to suite my current situation and people in my home. I don't have to return it back to a library. I am very happy with it, and would gladly recomend it.
