    Product Information
EA's boxing series not only brings a new name to the ring, it's an entirely new game. From a 20-year career mode with 6 weight classes to 4 mini games that will not only help you improve your skills, but train your fighter to eat lightning and crap thunder, Fight Night aims to be one of the deepest boxing games ever created. The brutality of the sweet science is represented with cuts, blood, bruises, and swelling. Gamers use the right analog stick to throw these punches, providing a full range of arm movement. Features Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and Sugar Ray Leonard to current greats Lennox Lewis, Sugar Shane Mosley (one lump, or two), and coverboy Roy Jones Jr.

    Changed boxing games forever

    Created: 26/03/11
This was the game that started it all. The fighting felt more brutal and yet more tactical. FN 2004 introduced the right-stick punch and blocking system. While the parrying was arcadish at times (and has since been phased out in subsequent FN games), it made defense a priority. For sure, if not for the strides made in this game, the series could never have produced FN Champion.

As for the gameplay itself, it feels a little dated and limited compared to what the latest FN games offer. That is expected. However, for an XBOX title, this game really provided good depth in the career mode and a wonderful atmosphere with the array of arenas and ring walk options like fireballs and lasers. One source of annoyance is the noticeable absence of a real announcer and real commentators. Instead, we get "Big Tigger." While he doesn't ruin the gaming experience, he doesn't help.

One of my favorite parts about this game is the knockdown "ragdoll" physics. Once your opponent goes down, his body goes limp and gravity takes over. If near the ropes, you can lay into him with a barrage of shots. It's wonderful.

Overall, this is a fun trip down memory lane. If you're a fan of the FN series, it is not a bad idea to pick this up for a couple of bucks and see where it all began.

    Fight Night 2004 for XBox

    Created: 22/02/11
I played it before years ago and liked it then, this is a newer version and is an excellent fight game. Has many of the old classic fighters such as Ali, Frazier, Marciano, Holyfield and many others. The graphics are great and the game is fun to play. I bought it because the price was right and I enjoy sports games by EA Sports. I am very pleased with the purchase.

This game is an oldie but a goodie. I love the analog controls for throwing different types of punches. I thoroughly enjoy playing this game and creating my own boxer for both career mode and quick play mode. You can also choose from fighters like, Mohammed Ali, Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney. This is an all around great game to play, if you are a fan of boxing. It has stood the test of time with me.

    Fun old game

This game is pretty fun. I am not very good at it, but still enjoy playing it.

I have only tried career mode. There is lots of setting so I can make my boxer as ugly as I am in real life.

This game is worth buying at a cheap price.
