This single-player game spans a wide variety of terrains loaded with puzzles, enemies, and treasure, as you battle through forests, deserts, and snow-covered tundra. Search out a massive assortment of weapons and magical items to aid you in your quest swords, spears, axes, bows, and more. The dungeons you'll explore are packed with puzzles that will require sharp wits, and enemies that require a sharp weapon to defeat.

Final Fantasy Adventure --- The First "Mana" game.

Created: 05/06/09
I found this game trying to, well, find this game... "Secret of Mana" translated to "Seiken Densetsu 2" and I wondered why. In Japan "Seiken Densetsu" is "Final Fantasy Adventure", I ended up finding out. If you are looking for a Final Fantasy game THIS IS NOT FINAL FANTASY!!!

Final Fantasy Adventure is a fun game for the Gameboy that was released in 1991. I have played it for roughly 25 hours and found that it is relatively difficult for the first hour or two... After that it is quite an enjoyable real time RPG. You even get to see some of the Mana recurring characters and enemies. One of the first enemies you find is a rabbite!

Should you decide to purchase this game and would like a few tips before you start playing, be sure to always carry keys with you... You don't get them early on, but when you do get them, you will need them in almost every dungeon... When you level up, you regain all HP/MP. Stamina raises max HP, Strength raises Attack, Wisdom raises max MP, WIll makes magic more potent. Be sure to bring a MATTOCK(pickaxe) with you everywhere you go, and some enemies cannot be harmed by all weapons( that gets to be irritating later on). If you decide to do a bit of leveling up, you probably won't be short on cash any time soon. Different weapons may be needed in different situations. If the rooms looks strange, or you were lead to a dead end, try hitting the walls with your weapons - Some walls are false and can be broken with a MATTOCK.

PRO's - It's a solid RPG with a story, stat building, exploring, and fighting. There are a few towns and plenty of caves to check out. Be sure to check the shops for new armor and weapons...

CON's - The story is kind of cheesy. The controls take a little bit of getting used to. This is a fairly linear game. When you get an NPC they tend to walk around like idiots. You may (will almost certainly) have to look at an FAQ/WALKTHROUGH to get through some parts of the game. Many of the older games don't give you many hints if any at all, as to what you need to do next - This is one of them! If that's the case, I would suggest Gamefaqs.com

Still a Classic!

I first played this game over 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I always regretted selling it and my GameBoy. So when I was in a position to get it again I lept on it.

I played through again and after all this time I still love it. It is not in colour but that does not distract. The graphics are clear and good for their time and still good even today, it is easy to see what is going on. The music is repetitive but still very good.

The story line is very good and features some unexpected twists and turns, it never gets boring. You definately get your moneys worth gameplay wise, the game actually took me two weeks to complete. The puzzles are not difficult but can require a bit of serious thinking, however they are logical and you are unlikely to get frustrated trying to solve them, but unlikely to find them too easy either.

Don't expect state of the art graphics and sound, but expect a very enjoyable play. Personally I think this RPG could teach some of the newer RPG developers some good things. I think it is a shame it was overlooked on release, it is a very good game, ten years ago and today.

One of the best hand held role playing games. This started the whole role playing hand held genre it was simple and fun to play. By today's standards its outdated but still important because it paved the road to how we play hand held RPG's today.

Amazing game

Possibly the best story of any game with basically just 4 main characters(2 bad, 2 good) with a few others mixed in. You are an orphan boy, forced to fight gladiator style against monsters day in and out(why you start at level 1 is beyond me) for the viewing pleasure of the bad guys. Eventually you make your escape and here starts the greatest story ever told. You can beat the game in 24 hours, you can play a low level game, you can powerlevel and beat the final boss with magic. It's all up to you!

As this game is actually related to the Secret of Mana games, you walk around Mana style, using all types of weapons/magic that you find. Throughout the game you will get a few NPC partners that can help you if called upon. They can heal, fight, or transport you around the world. A fairly straight forward game, the storyline keeps you attached and heading in the right direction. Don't forget to keep keys on you at all time, and that the Ax can cut down trees!!!

Final Fantasy Adventure Gameboy Nintendo Game

Created: 02/03/11
This game is the prequel to all the great 'Mana' franchise. Secret of Mana and Children of Mana being other notable titles, but in my opinion, there are few games in the world that can rival this gameboy game.

Final Fantasy Adventure is a game with a very unique style and soubdtrack, with some of the best and most intricate music on the original gameboy console. The gameplay is somewhat similar to the original Legend of Zelda game for NES, but using familiar Final Fantasy elements where appropriate. (Chocobos, Dwarfs, and various enemies.

I dont wanna give away anything about the storyline here, but I will say that this game is the only Game boy game that almost made me cry a few times while playing. The music, and its appropriateness at certain times, make this game a very fun and deep game that can be played for years to come.
