The walkthrough is really easy to understand, the maps and item locations are generally well done as well. My only reason for not giving this a perfect score is the overall layout of the book, I don't like that SOME information is located in the back of the book in the "secrets" section, when i could use that information in the walkthrough. But that might just be because i'm lazy and don't wanna flip through the book every time I suspect i'm missing something important.

Overall REALLY good guide, I just have some personal preference issues with how it's all formatted. I'd definitely recommend it to any Final Fantasy fan looking for a satisfying playthrough of this game!

I brought this guide as a present for my video-gaming daughter. Bradygames has a reputation for being the best Strategy guides to obtain for the serious gamer. This particular guide is very easy to understand and has great artwork. My daughter and I are very pleased with this product. Its simple to follow and has helped her in her quest to get the game completed soon. I would definitely recommend this guide to any Final Fantasy XII gamer!

This is an amazing book for anyone familiar with the Final Fantasy franchise. Everything you need, want or even dare to think about the characters, the complex story line and even personal histories of these characters is in it.
It is really helpful when dealing with the complexity of the battle system, setting up gambits, etc. Personally I prefer this style of fighting over the previous battle system...
This is the second time I've gone through the game, but this time, I want to get all special Espers, abilities and weapons. The first time around I found some things terribly difficult to manage and had to restart from the beginning a few times. I'd played FFX and FFX2 which I liked enough to be curious about the next installment, thankfully. For me, FFXII blows anything I've ever played out of the water!!
So this guide is incredibly helpful to anyone, new or not, playing this game. You can go through the game without it, but I woldn't suggest it. You'll miss a lot of superb cut scenes, cool characters to play with and thrilling side adventures!
I don't think I dislike anything about it thus far. It is a lot to read, but this game is designed to be played slowly, appreciated for its detail and artistry, which the book has a lot of, too. I think overall, for me as a gamer, these two products used together make for a sometimes overwhelmingly cool experience.

This book is great and does not take anything away from the game experience. The walkthrough will save you so much time when you are playing the game. It also reveals every bazaar item and what the ingredients for every bazaar item are. Also the normal data like weapons, armors, opponents, and other item specs. Not too liberal with advice and it does not give away any of the surprises that unfold in the story line.
