On Fire! by Petra (CD, Mar-1989, Star Song Communications)

This cd has some good songs on it and probably should be given another star, but by their standards it's not one of their best. Pretty much the same-old, same-old here, if you are familiar with Petra at all. While not their worst, only ok here.
The first 3 songs are good and one of the ballads is ok. Fired Up, Mind Field, and perhaps Counsel of the Holy are rockers, but Hit You Where You Live and Stand in the Gap are more midtempo stand-outs.

I REALLY LIKE THIS CD.IT IS A GOOD MIX OF BALLADS("HOMELESS FEW","FIRST LOVE")AND HARD-HITTING ROCK("MINE FIELD","HIT YOU WHERE YOU LIVE").I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I WAS FAMILIAR WITH A FEW OF THE SONGS AND I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WORTH OWNING FOR MYSELF.I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER PETRA RECORDINGS,AND I HAVE YET TO BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THESE PURCHASES.

Petra has been my favorite Contemporary Christian bands for a long time. There is nothing to dislike about them. I had this CD before and lost it when I moved. I am thankful that I could find it again. So thank you very much foe your services and hope to do more buying from you in the future.

I purchased the "On Fire" CD by Petra because it is one of my absolute favorite musical bands. I am completely happy with the purchase, because I originally had this album on cassette (which is now about 15 years old and pretty worn out) but now it is on CD and I am listening to it all the time. With it being on CD, I am not as concerned with wearing it out. I can't think of anything I dislike about making this purchase or the item itself. It is exactly what I wanted.
