Album Notes
Pillar: Rob Beckley (vocals); Noah Henson (guitar); Kalel (bass); Lester Estelle (drums).Additional personnel: Brad Noone (drums); Scott Gilman (programming).Producers: Travis Wyrick, Pillar, Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock.Recorded at West Man, Nashville, Tennessee and Lake Side Studio, Knoxville, Tennessee.Taking the nod from heavy, spiritually minded bands such as P.O.D. and Creed, Pillar fuses crunchy guitars with sometimes-melodic, sometimes-rapping vocals. "Echelon," "Stay Up," and "Behind Closed Doors" all sound very closely modeled after the style forged by Rage Against The Machine and P.O.D., while "Fireproof, " "Individual," and "Hindsight" hint at a Limp Bizkit influence lurking in the band's collective psyche.FIREPROOF boasts a thick, meaty production, courtesy of Travis Wyrick (Place Of Skulls, Disciple). The tasty syncopation in "A Shame" shows off the rhythmic chops of bassist Kalel and drummer Brad Noone. From the chunky riffing in "Epidemic" to the chilly vocals in "Further," Pillar shows great promise with their positively charged music.

The production and musical quality here is consistent. They rock and sound effortless doing so. The vocals aren't the only thing that sounds passionate this time around for Pillar here.
The lyrics are biblically based and should appeal to struggling young people. This band is encouraging and not afraid to tackle tough subjects.
Noah's guitar-work is layered nicely here and there is plenty of edge to go around. The accompaniedment is solid as well.
The vocals just get better and better. The only thing that could have improved this cd was some old school reggae from their first disk.
There is some radio-friendly stuff here, as well as a bit of hardcore and a ballad that strangely works for them. Fireproof is an instant classic and Echelon is a sweet, sweet song.

I have been looking for this album for a very long time at an acceptable price. Ever since i heard "Fireproof" on the radio I knew I had to have it. Little did I know that the album was a masterpiece in its entirety. Every song has something unique and special that makes it stand out from the rest of the album. KJ-52 makes an apperance on the album and adds his own rap quailities also. It is very clear that the band is more "mature" than their previous album in a way that shows they are evolving (in a good way) to a more expirienced group. There are a few bands out there where I can say that every single song they have ever released are outstanding, PILLAR is one.

This is a ROCKIN cd, Pillar finally starts to make the transition from a punk/ rap christian band to a hard core hard rock metal band on this cd. I like this cd alot because it still has some of the old pillar in there but then they really start to mature and write some serious material! Buy this cd, If you like thier new material since this album you will olike this one.

Awesome band, "Further from myself" is my favorite song on this CD. Check out the newest album- Where do we go from here!!! It's the best CD out right now!!! A sound like POD and Breaking Benjamins together.

Great CD with a lot of great rock n roll. Nothing like rocking your soul right and getting your thinking back on the right track. Skillet and pillar are two of the best around today
