Good workout

This is a pretty good workout from the Firm series. The main negative complaint I'd have about it is that you have to have a lot of equipment to do it -- the fanny lifter plus the sculpting stick plus weights. Of course, you could use substitute items for these things, but still. You definitely need to use some kind of equipment though, because the stick helps you balance on certain exercises. And you definitely want to use some kind of step, to get the full effect of the exercises. But overall, I really enjoyed this workout, along with every other Firm workout I've ever done. My favorite thing about this particular video is that it uses "interval training." That's where you go back and forth between focusing on strictly cardio and then focusing on more of the weight training aspect. That way, you don't feel like you're out of breath the whole time. I'd recommend this video for intermeditate Firm users. It may be too challenging for a beginner, although they do explain modifications for beginners as you go. And for the advanced person, it may not quite be challenging enough. I've done other Firm workouts where I've felt more of a burn in my muscles and gotten more out of breath. But overall, it's a good workout.

Total body workout without getting bored!

Never get bored with this fast paced aerobic weight training dvd. The instruction is great and the total work out will show results within a few workouts. This is my favorite FIRM work out. You will work upper and lower body together and simultaneously for maximum fat burning effect. I feel stronger and healthier than ever. I did have major back pain and shoulder pain, The doctor told me I need to strengthen my shoulder and back and with this workout the pain is gone. You will need the fanny lifter, weights and sculpting stick for this DVD workout. I don't have the sculpting stick but I do substitute it with a barbell that weighs approximately the same as the stick.

The FIRM Complete Aerobics and Weight Training DVD

It was really hard narrowing down which FIRM DVD to purchase, but I believe I've made the right choice. I was looking for a workout routine that burns fat and calories and incorporates weights in order to build muscle. Also, one that worked the whole body, upper, lower, abs...I want everything to be firm! I have worked out with the FIRM tapes in the past and absolutely LOVE them! They really give you a great workout and if you stick with it and maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, you WILL see results after 10 workouts. After my first workout, I felt sore (muscles waking up) but good. This workout will make you SWEAT and challenge all levels of fitness. Each time you do the workout, the moves become easier, though the workout doesn't (sorry). Stick with it...consistency is the key! I love looking at the results of doing these workouts...I'm a FIRM Believer!

Excellent quality aerobic workout.

I already owned this on Video and wanted it on DVD so it would last longer. This is one of my all time favorite FIRM workouts. It's choreographed so that the moves are smooth and naturally go into the next. The instructor is excellent and it's FUN. You need a step and free weights to get the most from it. They also use a pole that I do not but you really can do without it. This is great for cardio fitness! I recommend it! Just in case you think it may be too much for you, I am 50 and can follow along with the "girls" in the workout just fine.

never gets old

This is probably my "all time favorite" FIRM workout. When I first began doing FIRM videos, this one would kick my butt every single time and I couldn't finish. I just kept at it and now it is my favorite!! It does require the fanny lifter, sculpting stick (you can subsistute a broom stick) and a few weights. It has different segments to keep you from getting bored including cardio and my favorite segment is the kickboxing segment. I can wear my heart rate monitor and burn anywhere from 500 - 700 calories for this workout. Definitely a 'keeper!!'
