First Aid for the Usmle Step 1: A Student to Student Guide Updated for 99 by Vikas Bhushan (1999, Paperback)

I studied this edition right out of med school. A good read when approaching the final weeks of your boards exams, helps you measure your overall knowledge. Don't use it as a "bible" to study from. This edition was great and the fact that medical students wrote it was encouraging to a new grad. I guess I'm writing this guide as a nostalgic trip back into my days as a med student. I've since switched careers and this series has a 2008 edition. I wish all those studying for your boards the best of luck.
