    Movie synopsis

    A loving homage to the 1973 Bruce Lee kung fu classic CHINESE CONNECTION, updated with increased production values, a ROMEO AND JULIET-style romantic subplot, and a more temperate view of the Japanese enemy. A martial arts protege (Li) leads his classmates in revolt after their teacher is poisoned by the invading Japanese. The final fight scene is arguably one of the best of all time. Fights choreographed by Yuen Wo Ping, action director of THE MATRIX.

    A great movie. I would recommend this movie to all martial art enthusiasts. I love how the mode of transfer between Japanese and Chinese cultures intermingle. Also, when Jet Li's character fights the Japanese uncle, the different styles meshing gives a new meaning to life itself. The end scene between Jet Li's character and the Japanese soldier brings an ultimate battle of good and evil to a crescendo. Again, it is a great movie and I hope this movie is mentioned just as much, if not more than Bruse Lee's movies.

    This is a must have for your Jet Li collection! Jet Li is fearless in this action packed film which has similarity to Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection.

    This is a classic movie one of the best. I love Jet Li movies, however, this movie was one of his best movies. I love martial art movies and I will continue to buy movies like this one in the future.
