FlatOut (2005) (Xbox, 2005)

This game is just completely awesome. It has great performance and insane graphics. You can race 16 customizable cars through 36 tracks that are set in FULLY DESTRUCTIVLE ENVRIONMENTS. You can cause even more mayhem in one of the three Demolition Derby Arenas. Plus, there are 6 driver flinging mini games including bowling, darts, and the High Jump. Scoring well in each activity earns you money to upgrade your car with. This game allows up to 4 players in split screen mode and up to 8 players with Xbox Live. Also, for more fun, the system link option (REQUIRES ETHERNET HOOK UPS)you can connect up to 8 xbox's for multiplayer with up to 32 players. I would recommend this game to any adrenaline junkie that loves demo-derby type races!

Why I bought the game:
I bought this game because I like to play racing games and this one looked like it would be a good game.

What I loved and liked about the game:
I love that it doesn't start until you are ready.
I love that the little dude goes flying when you hit something.
I like the realistic body damage and the cars handling goes down by level of damage.
I like that you earn money by wrecking into things.
I liked that the tracks were challenging (example: construction vehicles being in the road, debris falling on track when you hit something.)
I liked that the damage to the track doesn't reset on each lap.

What I disliked about the game:
I didn't like that I played the game for four hours and am already a quarter of the way through it.
I didn't like the cars, you couldn't tell what type of cars they were.
I didn't like that the upgrades don't give more detail on what you are getting. (example: horsepower loss, traction/handling)

Overall I really liked this game. My wife liked this game also. She doesn't usually stay downstairs when I am playing my racing games and she stayed down and watched me and my friend play this one.

I played this game a couple years ago on the pc. I love the fact that finally a 'demolition derby' type game actually incorporates pure craziness, no story, no filler, just fun. Never have i played a game where the whole point of one event is to shoot your driver out the front windshield into gigantic dart board, or bowling pins, or various other goodness. This is a great game to play with friends to just watch the great physics engine at work. The actual race part of the game is a little sloppy to control, and the rubber band AI is in full swing. But don't get me wrong once you get the hang of handling, the game is great fun to play. I highly recommend it, especially for the price.

This is a great game for any original Xbox owner or Xbox360 owner with a live connection(You need xbox updates to play the original games). The game is a full throttle, high octane and adrenaline fun while you smash and wreck other cars into a fully destructible environment!

This is another game like Test Drive Eve of destruction. Both these games are worth owning if you like demolition derbies and smashem racing on dirt tracks. To me these are the best reason to own a console to play these games and sports games. Leave the Great shooters to Pc's where they belong and are much better to play them on. If you own or are getting and Xbox get the High defenition hookup for a "high def" TV ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT and I think it looks almost as good as the xbox360 in some games.! The graphics look much better on ALL games.
