Flayderman still the one and only for the collector!
Created: 20/01/08
Now in its 9th edition, Flayderman's Guide remains the only concise and reliable guide to antique American firearms available. Continuing in its tradition of being a source of descriptions and valuations of these guns, Norm has expanded and made important revisions and upgrades in this new edition.
While some may claim that his pricing information is inaccurate or unrealistic, it is at the same time unfair to criticize him for this given the changing nature of the marketplace, to say nothing of the variations in value that geography itself places on these values. A fine Revolutionary War musket may bring $xxxx.xx dollars in Massachusetts, that same musket might well bring 80% of that in California simply because so few are interested there.
There simply is no substitute for this book, and I'm happy to know that its author is so diligent in keeping it both vital and useful.

FLAYDERMAN'S GUIDE - A MUST HAVE FOR GUN ENTHUSIASTS

For the gun collector, this is a very informative book. It has many facts about each gun and pictures, that the blue book of gun values does not. While researching many different types of guns, this book has saved my husband and I much time. Every gun collector should own a Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms!!!

Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms... and

A good book for the collector and dealer alike on antique firearms. Great descriptions, values, and serial ranges on hundreds of antique firearms. The only real negatives about this book are, that it is hard to follow, or locate a specific firearm that you are looking for, and the black and white photos are pretty poor.
