Flight of the Intruder
Created: 24/06/09
From the novel by Stephen Coonts, this movie stars Brad Johnson as a pilot
during the Vietnam War flying a navel Intruder bomber. His bombadier, played
by William Devoe and known as Cole put together a nice flying combination of
pilot and "old" tour veteran. Johnson starts questioning the reason for the
continued bombing of "worthless" targets and wants to put a meaning on the
mission they are flying. Cole had been flying when the bombing went into Hanoi
and Haiphong, and after the loss of a friend to ground fire--they decide they
will attack the Peoples Republic Park in downtown Hanoi-where trophys are displayed of American aircraft and American flyers are paraded. The end of
this movie is filled with excitement and great flying and special effects. This is a great movie especially for history buffs, Vietnam Viets and students
of War and flying movies.

Flight of the Intruder (2003, DVD)

This is a great movie about the War and how a team of marines worked together. they called this movie after the type of planes that were flown back in that time which was called the intruder because it was basic and flew all the time day or nite. the marines were based on an aircraft carrier and planes launched from it. Danny Glover is excellent in this movie and his acting is extremely good. i would recommend this movie to all collectors and anyone that has an interest in the wars, planes used and other stuff that was shown. Good movie.

Flight of the Intruder ____ great name

If you like Vietnam / war movies, you will like Flight of the Intruder.
This movie is also known for the Cold Steel knife that was made just for this movie. The knife is called the Intruder bowie and was made by Cold Steel back around 1989-1990. It is similar to their trailmaster bowie except with a stainless steel blade and gun blued finish, really nice, very collectable.
The William Defoe character uses the knife near the end of the movie to dispatch an enemy.
I would recommend watching this movie.

Way Better then Top Gun!!
Created: 03/07/09
I believe this movie is much more superior then Top Gun, not only because there is a better story here told (not a hot-shot American patriotic Bullshit) but actually a story of conflicting views towards the airwar over Vietnam late 70´s.
The acting is also way supperior, specially because Dafoe is here. The visual effects are pretty damn good for its time (mostly scale models ala Star Wars you could say)
Well I got tired of writting.. just watch it, you wont be dissapointed.
..and for all those Non-Americans, this movie is actually NOT airhead propaghanda crap we are all so sick off!!
