Flight Of The Living Dead

Created: 10/12/07
On a flight from Los Angeles to Paris, a mad scientist on the run from the CIA is transporting a coffin containing the body of a colleague infected with a genetically modified virus. While the 747 crosses a violent thunderstorm, the instability of the aircraft allows the corpse to get out of its container. The flesh-eating zombie quickly starts to spread the virus, infecting many of the passengers which now will have to fight for their lives stranded in the air with no way out.

It was a "decent" movie, I use that term loosely. I thought it was going to be a better movie. All it is is another person that wants to think they can make a movie about zombies, if you want to make a quality movie about zombies, directors need to think in the term of zombies that are are and look like actual zombies. I thought the acting was over stupid and the movie itself was basically a rip off of George Romero and ignorance on the part of the directors. The movie was decsent but if you are an avid zombies fan like me, you will not like it. If you like comedy and stupidity, this is your movie.

Zombies: Shoot At The Head!

 | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Scary. Gory, but not so bad that you're puking instead of watching the film. One of the better zombie movies I've seen. Only problem (aside from all the gun-shooting on the plane, which would have crashed the aircraft) is that while zombies are [hopefully!] fictional, most people still recognize a zombie and are aware of the Rules of Zombie Killing. In other words, if you were holding a gun, and a corpse suddenly re-animated and began eating someone, at what part of the corpse would you aim your gun? You know the answer. But the people on this plane didn't. I kept screaming, "Shoot him in the head!" as the onscreen shooters persisted in shooting the zombies in the chest, stomach, and legs. Of course the zombies got up and kept coming. A golf pro, obviously based on Tiger Woods, successfully fought off zombies by whacking them in the head with his golf club. But apparently none of the other passengers had ever seen a George Romero movie. If they had, this outbreak could have been contained.

"Flight of the Dead" is dead on arrival. Grade: D+

Created: 03/03/08
Don't expert any George A. Romero quality in "Flight of the Dead," as this film is pretty much dead on arrival. The zombie "rules" don't apply in this film (ie: only headshots take out the undead, etc) and shooting limitless ammo inside a plane would turn the cabin into Swiss cheese, thus losing cabin pressure and crashing the craft pretty early in the movie.

If you can suspend your complete disbelief, maybe you won't feel completely cheated out of an hour-and-a-half of your life...but I wasn't able to and I'm a BIG zombie film fan (Romero classics and low budget garage flicks alike). I was excited by the promo trailer for this movie when I first saw it, but the final film product is absolutely nothing like the preview.

Flight of the Living Dead, what cool name and the movie is almost as cool. There's lots of zombie action, awesome special effects and decent story. There was a little something missing to it and i think it should have showed some zombies at the beginning of the movie to show what the government was doing with these things and to give us a little taste of whats to come later in the movie.Still better than most direct to video movies. Its a must see for all horror fans.

A great modern day B movie

Created: 15/09/10
When a movie is a blatant rip off, as this one is, you should know not to expect something good. But, Flight of the Living Dead surprised me by delivering a fun, gory, exciting picture. Sure, the acting isn't great, but that can be overlooked once the action gets rolling. The movie takes some time to develop, especially since there are a lot of characters, but once the zombies start attacking the film becomes great. The action doesn't stop, and quite a few dialogue scenes, especially between the cop and criminal, are hilarious. After you get through the padded beginning, you'll learn to love this film. Definetly try it
