Nothing Foreign Here
Created: 27/07/10
This is a great show in front of a potentially tough audience. Recorded in Germany in 2007 as part of the annual Bang Your Head festival, Foreigner might seem like an odd choice to play a set alongside numerous heavy metal and thrash bands. But they win the crowd over with no problem with their energy and enthusiasm. Their entire 60 minute set is included, which is the amount of time they were given since several other bands played that day too. Being a shorter show than usual, and being a metal fest, their ballads have been eliminated from this show. I like this personally.
Kelly Hansen fills in surprisingly well for Lou Graham, something I never thought possible. He hits all the high notes that Lou struggles to get to these days. Without a doubt, the leader of the band has always been and always will be Mick Jones, who plays a wicked guitar. Th rest of the cast pulls their weight and makes this a concert to buy and enjoy.

new lineup with great talent
Created: 22/12/07
This DVD contains some of Foreigner's best hits, but only 9 songs plus interviews. The new lineup is very good, but this was recorded at a festival in Germany, and in my humble opinion, a festival is not the best place to make a DVD. I did see them in PA. this summer with Def Leppard, and they were much better than Def Leppard (the headliner) and played a few more songs. Another venue would have produced a much better and more accurate portrayal of Foreigner than this DVD has, but since there isn't a follow up to this one yet, it does show they are back, and serious about playing their music. To sum it all up, The DVD I rated average because there is only 9 songs, and where it was recorded, but the new lineup is very good and they are a great live band.

If your an 80's Rock child buy this DVD

This 100 minute live DVD from the Monsters of Rock concert in Germany is a must for rock fans of the 80's or Foreigner. With excellent sound both in DTS and Dolby Digital the bottom end is thunderous and guitar licks are clean and vibrant. Kelly Hanson commands the stage with his vocals and an unassuming attitude. It is obvious that the band is having fun and it is reflected in this great performance. AS an 80's DJ Foreigner was always a crowd pleaser and this DVD show you why. Highly recommend it.

Foreigner Alive and Rockin'

Lots of poewr and energy. No Lou Gramm but they sound as good with this high energy singer. I saw them with Lou and with this line up and this line up is better.
The sound and video are great. The song selection could have been better and it is somewhat short.
