Forever Darling

This 1955 movie with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz was not greeted as warmly as their previous one, "The Long, Long, Trailer," but anytime you have Ball and Arnaz together I think you have a very funny movie! They play Susan and Larry Vega, a couple who are experiencing difficulty in their marriage. Well, along comes James Mason as her guardian angel and only she can see him.....on top of that, she has a crush on the "movie" James Mason so it's a double whammy. Larry works late as a chemist and Susan hangs around with people he does not approve of at all. Her guardian angel encourages her to take a business trip with her husband.....more of a field trip since they have to camp out while Larry test his new chemical on mosquitos at a lake. After a sleepless night and a disastrous morning it seems they will be parting ways but miracles can happen in a funny way when James Mason is your angel and he puts them back on the road to married bliss. This may not have been the best film of the year, but I LOVE LUCY and will watch anything she is in!

I love this movie! It's great! Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz are such a cute couple on the tv show "I Love Lucy" and it translates to this movie "Forever Darling". This is a must see and must own for any true Lucille Ball or Desi Arnaz fan. The chemistry between these two people is none like any other. You can really see that they truly did love each on and off the screen. This story is about love and marriage and how time can effect it. Sometimes in marriage it can become boring and you take it for granted. However, this movie shows you that love can be rekindle in a marriage just when all hope seems lost. There is even some help from up above from an "angel" named James Mason. Only Lucy gets to the "angel" of course, because it wouldn't be movie without a hitch like in it for Lucy. There is great laughs between Lucy and Desi but, also some tender moments as well. Those moments just warm my heart and really make the movie worth while. I hope you will all love this movie as much as I do.

Forever Darling Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez

While Lucy and Desi were doing their television series I LOVE LUCY, they were a phenomenon throughout the country. Everyone loved them together. During that time, during the off season of the television series, they did a few movies. Forever Darling was one of these movies.
Lucy and Desi played a married couple that have lost interest in each other over the years. They decide to rekindle their love by going on a research project together. The resulting camping trip and trials and tribulations add to a fun time and they realize that they were always meant to be together.
This is a great movie and all fans of Lucy and Desi are sure to enjoy this DVD.
