It was very scientific. I bought it as a textbook for one of my classes. It definitely focused on the brain as the reason for everything we do and feel. It would be a good book for any Physiological Psychology class.

This book is a good introductory book. It is written very simply and concisely. If you are intermediate or advance in this area though, the book comes off as pretty simple and easy.

Carlson Psychology- Great textbook for 300-level class

    Created: 30/01/10
This book covers a ton of information with clarity, helpful pictures/tables, and easy-to-read writing. The author even occasionally uses first person throughout the text and makes little jokes. It is a scientific textbook, but it is friendly to those who have little experience with biology/chemistry. This is a great college textbook for my 300-level biopsychology class, and it's relatively inexpensive. Highly recommend.
