    Old Timers

    Created: 06/01/09
I grew up in a small town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula surrounded by the forest. I remember a lot of the old timers, a bunch of characters for sure! I do consulting work at times and also work with some Amish friends as they take me back to my younger years in how they do things! I am purchasing most of the Foxfire books for their use. It is always interesting to see how the old timers did things with so little. The Amish are much the same. Many of the Amish lead an idealic lifestyle, but not all. Some have the freedom from the bondage of religion and others are in bondage to it. Freedom is knowing Christ as your Savior, very simplistic and thruthfully. They best describe how, why and what the principles were that our country was founded upon. That comes out in the Foxfire series of books. They will glean much information from these books.

    Great reading

I bought this book as a Christmas present for my fiance. He is an avid fan of the Foxfire series.
I am happy to have found Foxfire #9, as they are hard to come buy. These books cannot be purchased at your average bookstore.
Reading this book is like stepping back into the past, into the times of our grandparents, and great grandparents.
