Picking up the slack from the departure of CHEERS from American television in 1993, smart sitcom FRASIER centers on pompous psychiatrist and former Cheers regular Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) as he packs up and starts anew as a radio talk show host in his hometown of Seattle. The series' brilliant ensemble cast includes his prim and proper brother, Niles (David Hyde Pierce); their retired cop father, Martin (John Mahoney); a live-in home care assistant, Daphne (Jane Leeves); a brassy radio producer, Roz (Teri Gilpin); and a charismatic Jack Russell terrier named Eddie, ensuring that Frasier's life is populated with at least as many colorful characters as he was surrounded by back east. This collection includes all 24 episodes of the award-winning series' debut season.

) What I Like is that each season cover is a different color. The first one is white with red lining. The pilot episode is good cause you meet Frasier and the rest of the cast as how they play a role in his new life in Seattle. it's funny in the episode where his ex wife Lillith calls him on his show and corrects him on air. What's funny is that Roz knew it was her and didn't tell Frasier before he accepted the call. Also the fact that Niles was really happy that he wasn't stuck taking care of their father and laughing at how much it titures Frasier. Well this is a good series and wirth buying on dvd. Hope this helps

) Frasier is probably on of my favorite ever TV shows. Seeing the first season for the first time in a very long time answers questions of future seasons that you may forget. Very, very funny as as usual David Hyde Pierce can do comedy to the max. I love how these 2 sort-of baffoons can be so snobby and then down-to-earth the next second. I love everything about the show. The bonus material was amazing. I so enjoyed hearing about the making of Frasier. The only thing that annoyed me was at the end the set director takes you around Frasier's apartment and you have to click on each piece of furniture a few times to get the DVD to go. I would have rather of had him just walk through and speak.

Old Friends

) When Frasier left for Seattle, who would have known? The success of being able to carry over, into another series is tough, but Kelsey Grammer is a rare actor. It was fun to become reacquainted with an old friend.
What a great cast of character's and such excellent writing. I sorely miss the "family". It is great to have them back, in this DVD set! I strongly recommend buying this and become reacquainted w/ some old friend's!

Great Show

In the tradition of Bob Newhart, a show that makes psychatry a funny business. Frasier has moved from Boston to Seattle. He is a radio personalities on a talk show. You should listen carefully to the callers. They are usually famous actors or actresses. They have a great start and continue to build through the years. Niles is a believeable brother with all of his petty jealous and nightmare of a wife whom you never see. Roz as the wise cracking and a bit wild co-worker. It is a golden cast that have real chemistry together.

Best Comedy Ever Written

Frasier is probably the most outstanding sitcom I have ever watched. Kudos to both the writer and the actors. Best team that is out there. Smart, witty, entertaining, gut-busting comedy. I love comedy - and this tops them all! I won't rest until I own all 11 seasons and can't wait for Kelsey Grammer's new show this fall "Action News."
