Friday the 13th: The Series - The Final Season (DVD, 2009, 5-Disc Set)

Theatrical release: 2009 | Rating: Not Rated

Movie synopsis

Not to be confused with the 1980s slasher films (though of course meant to be confused with the 1980s slasher films), this spooky series gets its start when an antiques dealer makes a deal with the devil to sell cursed relics. When the dealer backs out of the pact and dies, his niece Micki (Louise Robey), her cousin Ryan (John D. LeMay), and ex-magician Jack Marshak (Chris Wiggins) join forces to track down the evil wares before they do harm. Usually they're too late and must pry the objects out of the hands of owners addicted to their homicidal dolls, wish-granting pens, and killer teacups. This collection presents the third season of the gruesome horror series.

The Best Season

Created: 05/11/09
The best stories of the series are in season 3 - Demonhunter, Midnight Riders & The Long Road Home. The introduction of Johnny created a better chemistry between the characters (even tho Ryan acted schoolboy around Mickey they were relatives, people!) My only criticism is that there wasn't a series finale episode - I would have loved to have seen Jack find a way to lift the curse & Johnny & Mickey ride off into the sunset in the convertible!

the filming looks cheesy to today"s standards and you can tell it was set around late 80s.it is a trio of people that search around for cursed items.the trio are anitque collecter's.every item that is cursed has some good things happen to the people whom use them, but there is usually a consequnce.9 times out of 10 someone dies or the person who uses the item dies themselves.the trio collectiong the items lock them in a vault for the cursed items to never be used again.
