Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Pass-Through Scanner

Easy to use and fast to set up. I was surprised by the small size of the scanner but it fits easily on my desk.

I like the adjustable slide that allows me to scan sizes from business cards to 8.5 x 11 docs. Had to work with the scanner a little to understand the OCR process but otherwise it was just plug-and-play.

I'm happy with the purchase.

This is a great scanner. It is very fast (about the speed of a large office document center). It has native pdf support and also includes acrobat standard for editing pdf files. It comes with a version of abbyy finereader, but I have the professional version of that software and didn't install the version that comes with the scanner. The driver, though a large install, is not bloatware. It has several setting to get it to do what you want. The default 'push the button on the scanner and watch' setting works very well. The scanner has a small form factor to fit on your desk, and it folds up nicely.

The only drawbacks are: no tiff output (although it might be able to do uncompressed jpeg, which is just as good), and no flatbed so you can't scan anything unless it can be fed through the feeder.

This scanner is awesome! Fast, reads both sides, straightens, deletes blanks, etc. This far exceeds my expectations. I use for both work us and home. I do not like paper files, so very quickly, I scan receipts, expense reports, notes from meetings, etc. all categorized and searchable.
I originally bought this because my HP multi function scanner was slow and didn't do double sided very well. This is 10 times faster.
I really put it to the test when I started feeding it a shoe box full of photos. I think I spent 5 minutes scanning 200 photos. 98 percent read rate, great color.
I highly recommend this for home or office use.

Based on my scanning experience, this scanner became even better then previous version. There is S1500 with Adobe Standard version, which makes working with paper filing even better and convenient.
I've been using over years: Few of Epson Perfection scanners, HP ScanJets, Xerox DocuMate 510, Canon 4350d and number of HP Multifunction machines.

I purchased this item because of prior used in the Real Estate Office and it met all my needs for for other matters (receipts, medical records, invoices & estimates) for my other business as well as my personal matter. I love the quality of the scan and how it scan with accuracy. Have recommended said product to numerous of people who have to keep track of receipt but keep losing them.
