I bought this game because I love the Fullmetal Alchemist games for the PlayStation 2 and I'm a huge fan of card games like Yu-Gi-Oh and MAGIC: The Gathering (wish there was a console game for the latter!). I thought that this would be a great game, since it comes from a great series of anime and features the voices from it.

BUT... it's very confusing, hard to follow, and extremely slow. What's more, the CPU seems to always pull exactly the cards it needs all the time, whereas you seem to always pull junk that does you little good. The music gets very tiresome very quickly. If this is how the actual card game works, then I'm glad I've never seen it. There are no actual moving figures that I've seen so far, and I struggled through this thing for 3 hours before pulling out something else. If they took any footage from the video, then it must be near the end somewhere. Everything is single frame pictures.

I don't recommend this game to anyone except players of the card game (if it really DOES play like the real thing) or to die-hard collectors of everything Fullmetal Alchemist. To them I say, put it in your collection, but just don't bother to play it. It's just not worth it.

    Summary:
THE BAD: slow, complicated, CPU cheats, music is VERY tedious.
THE GOOD: some voices from the series, graphics are like the series.
