Decent Value For The Price

Created: 11/12/07
Darts - once you get the hang of it, which doesn't really take that long, it's fun. Especially nice is the fact that up to four players can compete in this game at once. Custom darts/boards are unlockable.

Hoop Shoot - this can get tiring, but is fun for quick competitions between friends. Getting the ball to stay straight can be a little bit of a challenge at times.

Skill Ball - aka Skee ball - is fun. The controls are pretty much the same as Wii bowling, and the only thing you need to watch out for is throwing too hard. Also, this only has a one player mode, but you can easily just select "play again" at the end and pass the remote to a friend.

Shuffleboard - this is not what you're thinking. This is the tabletop version. Controlling the direction that the puck goes in can be a bit sporadic. Perhaps most frustrating here is that in one player mode, the computer will always, and I mean always, get the second turn, allowing them that last chance to knock your pucks out and score the win. Oh, and you can unlock curling if you get enough tickets.

Air hockey - the controls for this are similar to real air hockey, which means you hold the Wiimote parallel to the floor and actually push it left/right and forward/backward to control your player's hand. It's a little easy to score on yourself until you really get the hang of it, but it's a fun game to play in two player.

Ping cup - aka beer pong - frustrating to no end. The controls seem incredibly sporadic on this, and I still have not been able to clear the table before getting irritated to the point of quitting. If this is the only reason you plan on buying this game, be prepared to spend a lot of time with it before you start drinking, or you're just asking for a fight with your TV.

Trivia - I still haven't actually tried this; I'll update again when I do.

Game Party 7 in 1 (Wii)

I am putting the cart before the horse here. I am borrowing a Wii and I wanted to get different games to play before I actually get a Wii system. Game Party looks real interesting because if you grew up with any of these games like darts, skill ball, air hockey(table hockey), shuffleboard, hoop shoot, ping cup, and trivia..this game is for you. Get your brain going with trivia and some bar games like darts and shuffleboard, gets your arms going with a challenge to try to beat your opponent(s); Hoop shoot, ping cup and skill ball, you usually find in amusement parks in the game area..when you are there you usually have to pay $1.25 per game, but here, you just take your controller and play your little hearts out!
I can't wait to try my luck at these games..it will bring back the kid in all of us especially myself b/c I am handicapped and over 50 years old. I am not a fossil either, but 51. These are the games I grew up with..find an easy chair and play..this will definately bring back your youth! I am sure I will love this game, even after I get my Wii system!

Thank you ebay for having the games that I am looking for without paying an arm and a leg for! The thanks have to go to the sellers too for caring these games-Thanks Guys!

Good Party... for the family?

Created: 03/07/09
Game Party..! This is actually a fun game once you figure out a few nicks.
A good party usually is one where there are multiple players involved, right? That is the biggest limitation out of two we found for this game which, although its advertising pitch states is fun for the entire family, some of the games are limited to ONE user at a time, and by that I mean that a player must select a character, play the whole game turn, finish and THEN another user may repeat the cycle to play the same game. So unlike Wii Sports, Wii Play, etc., staggered game play is not an option where you would expect or wish for it. That's not fun!
The other flaw is the controls. More often than desired, the controls seem to be missing calibration, making a simple move either innacurate or you may have to swing your arm more than once to get it to respond.

The game flow itself is ok and if you have already played this game before (or can get at least some time before the rest of the gang), it is easy to engage a group in these challenging games for fun. Try Darts or Table Hockey!

GAME ON!

Good Game

Wii Game Party is a pretty good game. It’s not much of a 1 person game but if you have friends over and don’t want a game that you have to stand up spin around and jump up and down to get into then this game is perfect. You get to use the fun of the interactive Wii and the competition against friend to see who is better and just because you’re a gamer doesn’t mean you can win. I have had friends how never played the Wii so it felt awkward to them and after 2 rounds of practice it was an even game!!!
This game is very good!
If you want a party game to play with friends then this is a good one.
The only thing I didn’t like was some of the games in it are kind of lame. Are hockey is weird and I don’t play it. I’m not much of a trivia person so I don’t play trivia either. The ping pong cup game I still haven’t figured out and if basketball would play 2 players it would be perfect!

Game Party for Nintendo Wii

Great standard games: Darts, shuffleboard, basketball freethrow, ping cup, trivia, skill ball, table hockey. Love the dart games, you won't end up with any holes in your home walls! Trivia is fun with more people in the room, people tend to get really involved and have a good time. Overall the games on this disc are enjoyable for all skill levels of players.
