i never used to like reading, but this i read in my last year of highschool and it actually got me into reading. This book is one that people, especially women of any age can really relate to and appreciate. This novel is about a family that lives in Conners, Georgia around 1974. Life is great for Darcy and her sister Adel, until her mother goes for tests in Atlanta and the results showed that she has breast cancer. Darcy goes through many stages in this book and develops while admiring her mothers garden which she promised to take care of after she passes. This book is a real tear-jerker!...many more things happen in this novel...very emotional but great life story!!

) This is a very good book about how teenagers deal with terminal illness in their lives. I decided to buy it because I was tired of haveing to wait for it at my towns public library.
