) Great Product, very fragile, I am in the Marine Corps and I train not only in running shoes, but in pools, and in wood land terrain. We do a lot of down and dirty training. The watch got several nicks on it from just a week of use that I had to take it off when I train for combat fitness. But for interval training, and distance running as well as sprints, its very effective, one of the great features is the Virtual Partner, pushes those who have to much pride to simply give in to a tiny virtual person. Just not going to happen. Overall great product for what its meant to do, wish it was a bit more durable.

) Love the watch, I got the heart monitor too. I was going to buy the 410, but why? Same features and $100 less! I'm a casual runner and having all this data analysis is a great help. I find the bezel eash to use and cool after getting the hang of it. This is my first GPS watch and I love it.
It is probably too big to wear casually, but for running it doesn't matter. I haven't found anything wrong yet with the watch.

is a great training device

I absolutely love the Forerunner 405 and feel it is the best value on the market for what it does (as some of the other similarly priced products don't have near the capabilities and functionality and some of the more expensive products don't offer enough added capabilities to justify the much higher price.) I also love that the GPS is in the watch unit...not a separate gadget you have to hook onto your waist like most other products with similar capabilities....if you're looking for a great training tool that is highly accurate and customizable, I think you will love the Forerunner 405 and feel it is a great value.

AMAZING WATCH! Bought for my stepfather's birthday since he is a runner, and he LOVES it! Extremely easy to use, large enough screen for an nearly blind man to read (haha). It's definitely the best GPS watch and an awesome product, as usual from such an awesome name like Garmin.
