General Hospital: Night Shift (DVD, 2008, 3-Disc Set)

General Hospital's Night Shift is a more explicit version of it's daytime counterpart. Because this airs on SoapNet, which is unavailable to Canadian viewers, this is a fantastic idea for anyone who can't get this gritty soap because of location or the fact that you don't subscribe to specialty channels.

Night Shift is loosely based on the goings on at General Hospital on the night shift. It has several familiar characters, such as Patrick, Robin, Jason, Spinnelli, and Maxi, as well as a few new faces. This is a fantastic idea for any General Hospital fan! It's also very easy for a non General Hospital fan to follow as well because the storylines have very little crossover action. The second season apparently will stand alone, with no crossover stories. There is much more sex than it's daytime counterpart because this series airs at night, so they are able to be more gritty.

I really enjoyed watching these DVD's, and watched them non-stop till I was done. My only real complaint was that there is only 13 episodes, just enough to make you want more! I was also a bit dissapointed at the lack of extras. I was really hoping for more things like interviews. There is a nice extra about the making of "Night Shift", but I would have like more. I also would love to see SoapNet extend the series to maybe 18 or 20 episodes.

I will definately be buying season 2 as soon as it's available on DVD! Bravo to whoever decided to put it on DVD. As a huge soap opera fan, I have always wanted to have my favourites be available on DVD, as soaps rarely air reruns. Now, I can watch Night Shift over and over! Yay!!

I watched the entire season on Soap Net and loved every episode. The drama is fast paced and you don't have to be a fan of general Hospital to know about Night shift. If you love drama's Nigh Shift is for you.

I bought this for myself because i watched the entire season on Soapnet. I watch the regular GH on daytime, and i love it. I knew i was going to love Night Shift because my favorites were in it. I loved Spinelli in Night Shift. He was very commical. I liked how everything was wrapped up in an hour (except for a few episodes that carried over) Overall, i thought it was excellent and i can't wait until they make a Night Shift #2 (atleast i hope they do)

I love General Hospital I watch it everyday.If I'm not home then I record it.I have not recieved the DVD yet.It has been weeks maybe a month and I still have not recieved it.I'm still waiting.

When I was laid-off from my job. I started watching General Hospital and then Dr Phil show. I am not totally hooked on general Hospital so when I saw this was available I bid on it right away.
