The Seventies DVD Jukebox

I bought this for the Rory Gallagher on it. I'm a fan of his electric R&R. Turned out to be one of his accoustic numbers but Rory does a good job of it.
Also of interest is An Alice Cooper who looks pretty sloshed.
There's a clip of Tina Turner when she was younger doing Townsends' song that he wrote for the "Tommy" opera, "The Acid Queen". If all you've ever seen of Tina is an older woman you need to see this, the woman's an impressive performer and a delight to eyeball too!
Some of the sound quality is lacking but I enjoyed watching this DVD. It also has a "pop-up" feature that streams info about the performer across the bottom of the screen if you want it.
If you were in the 70's you will get to see some of the acts that you missed and wondered what they looked like. Most cuts are from a TV studio that I presume is in England.
Some of the audiences look really into it, some interested, some curious and some look like they would rather be elsewhere.
I'm 61 and I enjoyed most of it.
If you get it and don't think that it's all that hot, show it to your kids. They will laugh at the clothes if nothing else.

If you like classic rock get this, put it on, pop open a beer and crank it up all the way! Too bad they didn't throw in some ELO, Boston, Foreigner, and Mott the hoople though, then it would have been the ultimate classic rock DVD that would have to bear a warning sticker because it would blow your ass out!!!

2 or 3 good tunes there, hiding many boring non hits...

Well the idea sounded great, and the package looked attractive!
I just don't understand why the editors hired cultureless people to make such a "BEST OF SCRAPS". Maybe to save $ on the copyrights?
I don't complaint about the artists, but the selection of songs: 80% of them are junk, while many real hits were expected.
Too bad, this is only another proof that we should always stay away from compilations, they are just stereotyped entertainment (junk) stuff, only designed to grab more money from all of us.
Sorry for this negative review, but I paid way enough to allow me to express my opinion.
