Bailey; Michael Gibson ; Sheryl Nields.Though critics may disagree about the success of superstar rapper 50 Cent's foray into acting, few would question his skills when it comes to supplying the accompanying soundtrack. GET RICH OR DIE TRYING is packed with the lyrical honesty, gritty immediacy, and plain-spoken realism that originally endeared 50 and G-Unit to their legion of fans. The film in question is a semi-autobiographical story of a drug dealer turned MC, and most of the tracks here are of a piece, addressing either the desperate struggle for ghetto survival ("Hustler's Ambition," Young Buck's "Don't Need No Help") or the cultural difficulties that can accompany a quick rise from dire poverty to fame and fortune ("Talk About Me," Tony Yayo's "Fake Love"). Musically, many of the songs are influenced by classic 1970's and '80's R&B, whether it's the go-go-style synthesizers of "We Both Think Alike" or choice samples from Maze, Valerie Simpson, and Bobby Womack. A rare example of a huge seller (not to mention multi-media enterprise) that manages to retain hip-hop street cred, GET RICH OR DIE TRYING shows 50 Cent and his G-Unit comrades at the top of their game.

NOT THE BEST , BUT ITS ON 50 CENTSTOP 5 CD's.

What's good about this CD is that it doesn't all revolve around 50 cent. Here you can actually listen to tracks from the other undeground G-Unit members. They are all good songs but they don't have that style that 50 cent puts on his CD's to sell them. It lacks speed and some of the songs are a little short. Overall is a good CD that can be enjoy by anybody even if they are not G-UNIT fans.

One of the bests!

Created: 27/03/06
I don't usually write reviews, especially not soundtrack reviews, but this time I have to make an exception. There are two types of people out there: one is the lovers of Fifty, other is the haters, no group between. Either way you have to admit, he's a genious. His music conquered the world, making him one of the most famous rappers today.
I rated this soundtrack Excellent, because that's what it is. Every track of the 18(!) has its own stlye, flavour and tune you to the mood of the movie. I recommend this album to everyone who likes 50's style, or just good music.

I love 50 Cent, first of all, because I love listening to his music.

But more so than that, he inspires me. He went through such a hard time before his huge success. The worst one was him getting shot 9 times. But others such has his mom dying when he was a child or his dad never being in his life. He also sold drugs starting at the age of 12 in very rough streets of Queens. But somehow, he made it. This really inspires me to get through the hard times and be a success in my own life.

This movie and this soundtrack is excellent.
