Ghost Hunting book by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson.

I purchased this book because I am very interested in the afterlife. I have seen and experienced certain things in my own life that I cannot explain. These Two men have opened up a new way of investigating. The way they have brought in the use of scientific elements to their investigations is frankly awesome. I used to believe that I was going crazy. Most of the people in this book have felt the same way I have. It is not only great reading. But very Mind Opening. I know that there will always be skeptics about this subject. In my opinion a skeptic is just a person who has yet to have something supernatural happen to them. I hope that for the most part, they never do. I have learned to embrace the encounters that I have had, through the reading of this book. I am now collecting their "Ghost Hunters" DVD's. I think this book is a great piece of literature for all of us who have experienced some of what they have written. I look forward to more books by these men in the future. For those who don't believe. It is still a great bunch of stories you can add to your collection of campfire tales.
Frankly there was not anything that I did not like about this book. It is a straight forward, no nonsense way of writing. They get straight to the point of what the book entails, and that Jason actually tells us about his own encounters and why he formed T.A.P.S with Grant was awesome, as most people who have had these experiences are often to embarrassed to share them.
I would recommend this to all lovers of the supernatural/paranormal.

Ghost Hunters To Go!

If you love Sci-Fi's Ghost Hunters, this is a must! This book is written by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson...The founders of TAPS and the most trusted paranormal investigators around. This book covers the history of TAPS, some info about different invesigators, what goes on behind the 'scenes' and other things that you wouldn't really know from just watching the show.
It has cases in it too. That's the main point. The first bunch of cases are early ones that were not part of the TV series. They are really interesting and one is pretty intense!!! The other cases are ones that have been on the show, but they have little details you wouldn't otherwise know.
It's a very fast, very enjoyable read. Plus it has pictures. That's always a plus :)

Didn't tell me anything new

I am a fan of the scifi channel show "Ghost Hunters", and I was very enthused when I had heard that this book had been published. The show "Ghost Hunters" is a show about a group of paranormal enthusiasts on the east coast. "Ghost Hunters" shows what this group experiences on their paranormal investigations of private and public locations.
I fully expected to become completely immersed in Jay and Grant's tales of paranormal investigations, and their organization - TAPS. After reading about twenty pages, I became rather curious about how the rest of the book was going to read.
The basic premise of the entire book, apparently, is to give the reader a 3 to 5 page recap of TAPS investigations. Most of the earlier book contains investigations that pre-dated the show, so those in itself had their fascination. However, once the book hits the point where the "Ghost Hunters" show started, there is almost nothing added beyond what was contained within the show. And that is the biggest problem with this book: Jay and Grant seem to have written this for 'newbies' to "Ghost Hunters". I fully expected for this book to be a sort of suppliment to the show, and take me out and away from what the scifi channel decided to edit into the series. Still, I can't see why newbies would plunk down $14 (let alone spend the time reading) or so for a book about a television series that they have never seen.
And therein lies the problem, and my conclusion: I can't even recommend this book to newbies, because they are better off watching the show. The evidence, both audible and visible, is better seen and heard rather than read. And I can't offer this to those familiar with the "Ghost Hunters" show. Giving a five page recap of a "Ghost Hunters" episode is boring. I would've been much more satisfied if, for example, Jay and Grant had taken five of their favorite cases, (whether they have been on the series or not) and really delved into the evidence that they had collected - and gone into it all in great detail.
I can only hope that Jay and Grant have received feedback on this book, and will go about writing a much more 'meatier' book for the fans of the show and their organization.

Ghost Hunting was purchased because of an insatiable need of "more" of these guys and their adventures. Who doesn't love the "TAPS" family!
The book is mostly repetitive stories of what we true fans of the show have already seen; however, we don't care that we've already viewed it on the telly. We still love the mystery of the spirit world and all the fun and scary events involved in encountering them and don't mind reading about them once more.

This book is sooooo good! Once you start reading it, you cannot put it down! My daughter and I are big fans of the Ghost Hunters Shows. We never miss them. Watch them over and over. So we knew the stories in the book. But it is still worth reading. If anyone out there has ever had any experiences with the paranormal, this is a must read. Jason and Grant and the rest of the crew are so amazing. I hope that there will be other books from them. Maybe one day some of them will open up about some of there personal experiences about what made them want to do this. Reading this book and watching the series made me realize that the things that I experienced growing up were not so strange after all. So get this book!!!
