    Product Information
Produced in part by Marvel's dedicated game production division, this game is based on the Marvel comic and 2006 motion picture starring Nick Cage. The tormented superhero/anti-hero Johnny Blaze, once a heroic daredevil cycle rider before making a deal with the devil for his soul in exchange for the life of his father, rides in this action-packed videogame adventure. Ghost Rider features both on-foot brawling action, full of combos and hellish hits, as well as Hell Cycle high-speed racing. Famed comic writers Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti have lent their talents to the videogame's storyline.

    A very average game

    Created: 01/07/07
I say this game is average because it's definitely not the worst game ever, but one really should expect more from a game about Ghost Rider.

I, personally, thought the narrative part of the game was well done. I liked the dynamic-type, comic style cutscenes but was disappointed that they weren't quite using the likenesses of Nic Cage and many other actors from the movie( of which I believed that this game was mainly based on ). The gameplay is a direct copy of that from Devil May Cry and God of War but it just doesn't seem as much fun. Basically, you go into a new, non-interactive area( you really don't interact at all with the environment except for a few things you can smash ), about 15 to 20 bad guys attack you, and you can't leave the area until you kill them all. These are usually the same 15-20 bad guys that always attack you. Some new ones are introduced every once in a while but they usually are no challenge at all. Interspersed throughout these stages are bike-riding stages which are just not as cool as one might expect. If you are good at racing games, you'll like it better than I did. After every stage, you go to a Devil May Cry type screen that grades you for the stage. I think that this really breaks up the feel of continuity in the game. The upgrade system, coming directly from God of War, is a good aspect of the game and lets you 'level' up Ghost Rider pretty early on.

Overall, this is the kind of game that is not a complete waste of time to play( it's not that long )but maybe that time could be better spent just replaying DMC or GoW.

    Redemption Has A Ghost......

    Created: 06/05/08
This game is a blast to play for anyone out there that loves games similar to it such as 'God Of War' or the 'Devil May Cry' series. It's your typical hack and slash type of game, where you walk into a room and proceed to kill every enemy in sight in very vicious ways to proceed to the next room....etc. The settings for stages and areas and character design are extremely impressive with a lot of depth. They're very ominous looking with a dark aura around them. For people that love Ghost Rider such as me, you need not worry because there are plenty of stages where you get the chance to ride his classic Hell Cycle in. Those tend to be the more fun stages in a lot of cases. It should also be noted that even though the game came out around the time of the movie, in no way shape or form is the game based off the movie. The game is more of a sequel to the movie than anything with a continuing story based off the movie where it left off. As high impact as the action and graphics are in the game though, the game is extremely uncomplicated and predictable. The game could have been a lot better if they had put more work into the game in the form of making it a little more challenging and putting a good puzzle here and there on it. Also, a better thought out storyline to keep people wanting to play it more and more like 'God Of War' and the 'Devil May Cry' games had would have been good too. But no, it's a pretty easily mapped out game to follow and beat.

The game is also not that long either. To the point you can if committed enough beat it in way less than twenty-four hours. There's some cool bonus stuff on the game though. For instance if you beat the game on a certain difficulty level you can play through the game again as Blade or Ghost Rider 2099 if you want. The only real annoying thing I found in the game, was like after you kill enemies the orbs that are left after their demise don't follow you as quickly as they should so you can gather them. Sometimes they slow you down a bit by having to stand in one place around them until they decide to levitate and let you gather them. A great game overall though with a lot of cool graphics for people that love violence. But not challenging to overcome by any stretch of the imagination.

This is a great gaming platform. Still has decent games, which have a moderate price and accessories like wireless are available. For the price, this is a great piece of equiptment.

    An overall great gaming experience!

    Created: 26/05/09
At first I was hesitant on buying this game because it had gotten so, so reviews on other sites. I decided to take a chance on it because I love Marvel Video Games. The minute I popped it into my PS2, I was blown away! The action is fast paced, and nonstop. Combos are easy to perform and the variety of moves ghost rider can perform are excellent! Once in a while, you will also get a chance to ride ghost rider's motorcycle and unleash some hell on wheels. The overall gaming experience is enhanced due to the number of unlockables the game has. This is definately a game worth picking up for Marvel fans, or fans of action games.

    Pretty good

    Created: 10/06/09
I bought "Ghost Rider" for mostly because I like Spider-man, x-men, and Daredevil so I thought I'd give this a try.

Good things- The best part about it is the motorcycle riding levels.

The health of Ghost Rider is large and it takes a lot of damage to bring it down.

There are many different attacks, combos, and of couse the Pendence Stare is awesome

Bad things- When a door gets blocked by a force feild you have to defeat like 100 enimies for it go away then you into the next room and a lot of the time you have to repeat this process.

There are not enough motorcycle levels.

If you like Ghost Rider or beating up bad guys(a lot of bad guys.) This is for you.
