A MUST READ!
Created: 01/11/05
This book is a must read for everyone. A great and practical gift for someone who will be out on their own for the first time. This is not a novel, but because of the personal experiences and situations described by the author, it reads as easily as one. The book shows us, in sometimes very scary real life situations, that our sense of fear should be listened to. It gives some the reasons why you just feel something is amiss, and the confidence to get out of the situation. Is someone you know going off to college? Get this book for them! And one for the parents too! And this is not just for those going off to college, but for everyone. This is a MUST READ! Get it today, it may very literally, just save your life or the life of someone you know.

A book that all women, of any age, should read!
Created: 21/07/08
This is the book that every woman should read. Mothers should read it and then give it to their daughters to read. You may feel as though you're aware, the type of person whose lifestyle protects or shields them from harm, but nowadays, can anyone really feel safe all the time? Everywhere they go? This book is at the least enlightening. I bought it and read it when I relocated from a small town to a big metropolitan city in another state. I highly recommend this book to anyone (especially women) to remind you of what you knew and help you be more aware of the potenial risks in the world, in your home as well as outside of it.

The essential guide for protectors of at-risk people
Think of every assassination you've ever heard about. For most people, a few of these major ones come to mind: Caesar, Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Anwar Sadat, John Lennon, Israel’s Prime Minister Rabin, Pakistan’s Benazir Bhutto.
From start to finish, all of these attacks — combined — took place in less than one minute. And the hundreds of attacks studied for this book, all of them combined, took place in less than a half-hour. Those thirty minutes, surely the most influential in world history, offer important insights that can help today’s protectors defeat tomorrow’s attackers.

I love this book. It explores fear and the reasons why it is useful especially in relationships. It identifies reasons to be fearful of a lover/friend/acquaintance.I have recommended it to others for their education on what is or is not abuse whether spousal or otherwise. I believe this book should be in everyone's library of must read books.
