Greatest pregnancy book in my collection

Created: 05/03/07
I love this book. I bought it 8 years ago with my first pregnancy, and have given it as gifts to all my pregnant girlfriends since. That's what this purchase was. It's so informative; it tells you practical things the other books don't tell you, like the amazing (and sometimes scary) changes you'll see in your body. It gives you basic information like what to pack to take to the hospital for you AND the baby! None of my friends were as helpful as this book was as far as information and support. AND it made me laugh OUT LOUD! A good sense of humor will really carry you through the roller coaster ride of pregnancy and Vicki Iovine has it and shares it!!!!! AAA++

Mom of 4 known a Good Book

Created: 27/03/09
I received this book from a friend when I was pregnant, and have given it to 4 of my friends now. I keeping coming back for another one for the first time moms-to-be (and it would be great for a 2nd+ timer too) that I know. I has really down to earth, tell it like it is, useful info. Stuff no one wants to tell you about but is REAL life when you're expecting. Some of it will make you LOL! Great read!! From a mom that knows... I've been there 4 times! So if you're not sure if you need another book to read during this pregnancy thing YOU DO - GET THIS BOOK!

Humorous Look at Preganancy Thru the Woman's Eyes

Created: 08/05/07
I bought this book because I read it while I was pregnant and I have a couple of friends that are currently pregnant that I wanted to give this book to. This book is so much better than What to Expect While Expecting since this is written from the woman's point of view not from the medical view. Vicki Iovine uses humor to help women cope with everything from morning sickness to stretch marks and beyond. For me, What to Expect just made me paranoid with everything that could possibly go wrong. This book tells exactly how the woman feels while being pregnant and after birth without making you think every little pain is something going wrong. I would recommend that anyone who is pregnant read this book and her other books as I am currently reading The Girlfriends' Guide to Toddlers..

Down to earth info

Created: 15/09/08
This book gives you more of the "for real" things to expect during pregnancy. All that stuff that only your close friends will tell you, and some stuff they may not. The book I got with it, the baby gear guide is also great because it lets you know what is really not necessary and provides an argument for both sides of optional items. It's been one of the best non-medical sources of information I've gotten since I found out I am pregnant.

Everything you need to know, and laughter too

Created: 06/12/07
This book is FANTASTIC! It goes trimester by trimester, week by week and explains a lot of the things even our mothers won't tell us. The author is by far the most amusing author that I have read in a while.

I am only 16 weeks pregnant but already consider this book my best friend and support through my pregnancy so far!!

I highly, HIGHLY recommend it for every pregnant woman, or any woman considering pregnancy.
