Great game for children of all ages!

    Created: 13/03/09
This is a great Wii game for little kids because it's based on in-home research conducted by Nickelodeon that looked at how preschoolers could best use the Wii controllers. The game incorporates 13 Wii-centric motions that are easily learned by preschoolers because they mimic motions done in real life. If you want to swim across a lake, you make a swimming motion with you arms. To help some water buffalo grow back horns that the magician has taken away, you hold the Wii remote in one hand as you place your hands on the side of your head. Then you stretch out your arms and put them back on your head, repeating this motion until the horns have grown back. You can also mimic digging, flapping your ears like an elephant, waddling like a hippo, playing a drum, and much more.
Unlike other video games, kids can't fail when playing this game. For example, no timing is required to grab hold of a rope that is swinging by: You simply push the "2" button. And once airborne, you can't fall -- you just keep swinging until you hit the "2" button again. Plus, parents can join in if little ones are struggling by grabbing a second Wii remote. For example, when kids are helping Diego blow up a hot air balloon by pumping their arms up and down, if someone joins in with a second remote, the speed of the pumping increases and fun animations appear. The game also has two-person games that are cooperative, not competitive.

    AWESOME for young Wii players!!

    Created: 21/01/09
FINALLY a Wii game for those younger brothers and sisters in families who own a Wii!! While, I'm guessing most kid over the age of 6 wouldn't find this so exciting, for kids ages 3 to 6 this game is AWESOME!! It gives specific directions on what to do each step of the way! The directions are clear and very easy to understand with an illustration of exactly what to do. It has a FUN and exciting theme for the young ones to enjoy. The speed of the game and action is just right and can be handled by the most inexperienced and young child. It is also very "forgiving" when the child misses a jump or goes to quickly toward the edge of a cliff (Diego will NOT fall off!) and the built in reward system is also great without overdoing it!

My three and half year old LOVES this game as does his 5 year old sister! They love being able to do it themselves without older brother or an adult having to get them to a certain place or doing it for them as they watch! They are so excited to get Diego and Baby Jaguar from one place to another on the adventure and collect the food and badges along the way!

There have been a few places that are "tricky", but the game is forgiving and allows them the opportunity to continue to try until they get it! BRAVO to the makers of this game! Hope they make more! Worth EVERY penny!!!

    Superb preschool game!

    Created: 18/01/10
Purchased this game for my three year old grandson who just loved the Wii but all the games were too difficult. I searched the internet myself and purchased this game on the recommendation of others. Finally, a game he play by himself! One movement, one button action for the most part. He couldn't be happier. Money well spent. Highly recommend for children under five!!

    Great Game for Toddlers!

    Created: 10/05/08
I have to say that I love this game. My 3 year old son has been harassing me to play the Wii ever since I got it and this game was perfect for him. As he owned the movie it is based on, he loved being able to rescue the elephants and pretty much be Diego. The movements are easy to do and general game play is outstanding for smaller kids. I would high recommend this for any Diego lover and smaller children. They will get a huge kick out of it! A must have in any Diego collection!

GREAT BEGINNER GAME FOR THE WII!

    Created: 23/11/10
This is a GREAT game for the little ones in your house to get started using the WII! My daughter is almost 3 1/2. She played this game for 2 hours the first night. With this game they have to go through the motions of using their arms and the Wii remote to "Dig out of the hole," "Climb the ladder," "Shake the tree," and so much more. This is an awesome game! Easy for them to play and excel.
From what I have read about this game, they studied children and their instinct moves to finish this game! Definitely a beginner game to help youngsters start using the Wii remote!
